I am currently studying an MBA at the University of Pittsburgh and am undertaking a research project on the Lotus brand, and wonder if you can help me.

At this stage all I am asking is that you email me, [email protected] , your responses to the following questions:

What 5 things do you instantly think of when somebody asks you what the Lotus brand stands for?
Do you currently own a Lotus car? if so which one
If not what sports car do you own?
If you either work for Lotus Cars, or dealerships selling Lotus cars, please can you indicate so.
What state or country do you reside in?

I would appreciate if you did not post your thoughts on this site as I do not want to bias any responses I receive, but free bumps would be welcome. Some of you may have seen this research on other car forums. The reason for this is that I am trying to collate responses by owner groups to gain a true perspective from a variety of makes.

I have no financial interest in this project, just an interest in the Lotus brand and what different groups, including dealers, perceive of it. Essentially I am trying to understand whether the general public has a different opinion of the Lotus brand to that of either Lotus Cars or its dealership network.

If you have any questions relating to this project, please email at the above, and I will respond with a more detailed explanation of my objectives.

All responses will be treated in the strictest confidence, and any reports produced will only show amalgamated responses.

    Best Regards

Just a suggestion for surveys: you should see if you can get an account on one of those statistics/survey sites and have boxes to tick or lines to fill in. That way you can probably get a clean, easy set of numbers and responses. They probably have certain stats functions you can use to crunch the numbers in creative ways too.

    Thanks for the suggestion ryalex.

In fact that is part 2 of the study. To make sure my 'proper' survey asks the correct line of questions, I am asking these simple questions to ensure I focus on the correct things. In addition I am also having lengthier conversations with dealers to further refine this.

    All the best

I'm waiting to see the new Esprit. Hoping for new sexy, sleek, looks after becoming board with most new car designs coming out now.

The Esprit is going to be a huge car for Lotus. Elase can't be selling as well as expected in USA, because its just too small for daily use?

The big question besides "looks" for the next Esprit, is what's Lotus going to do for a engine? Toyota/BMW??
