Maserati has just recently released the specs on their new MC12 Corsa, the equivalent of the FXX, but with a more limited production run (just 12!). Here is some info from the maserati site and the media images. Technical info from www.*************

    News

    05/26/2006 - Modena

Maserati is pleased to announce the production of the MC12 Corsa, a supercar build-to-order for a select number of Maserati clients.

The MC12 Corsa has been developed from the MC12 GT1 type which won the 2005 FIA GT Manufacturers Cup, and will allow its owners to test their driving capability in the most exclusive gentlemen drivers’ environment. It will be used exclusively on track during private test sessions - or exhibition activities organised by Maserati. It will not be homologated for road use or for any racing activities.

The Maserati MC12 Corsa – living testimony of Maserati’s ability to individually tailor-make specially produced high-tech cars - will be on sale at the price of 1,000,000 Euros (plus tax) starting from next Autumn. Available in the official Maserati “Blue Victory” color, it can be personalized upon request with several optional items, starting from a different colour upon request by the client.

Total production of the Maserati MC12 Corsa will not exceed 12 units worldwide.

I ll ask here , why the FIA wing if the car isnt meant for racing ? Why not the original wing that not only looks better but provides more downforce ??

The MC12 Corsa, or if you prefer the MCX (i like to call it this way lol!), is a direct derivation from the MCC racing car, so it maintains all the original features, including the rear FIA GT wing.

Yes and that is stupid ! The original MCC had the bigger wing because it provided more downforce and, bonus , didnt look silly .

This car doesnt need an FIA approval ? why Maserati hasnt put back the original wing is beyond me and purely Italian..

This car (and the reg. MC12) is simply *STUNNING*. IMO, this is what the Enzo should've always looked like. I see more "F50" in the MC12 Corsa than I do in the Enzo, and I think this overall shape would've been more well-received by the automotive community... Not that the Enzo wasn't a hit, but it definitely has its fans as well as haters.

I just can't see hating a car this beautiful...
