Every once in a great while I'll get a meal at McDonald's and today was such a day. I got a Dbl. Qrtr pounder meal it ran me six forty. I ate it at home in about a minute and a half. The hamburger which looked like somebody sat on it slid right down my throat in two bites. Every time I finish one of these meals I always feel like I got screwed I'm now sitting here thinking o.k. now what am I really gonna eat for lunch. And what's with the new tax, last time I ate there I ate inside and I noticed I got charged an eat -in tax of 9% today I took it out and got charged 9% take - out tax.

And why do they ask you what kind of soda do you want if you have to get it yourself anyways? Just give me the friggin' cup.

It must fall under the rooms and meals tax although I don't know why they call it either eat-in or take-out tax.

I think your right Mr. Doody. Every time I go there I'm like Charlie Brown with the football I think it'll be diffrent this time but it never is. I have someone who gives me gift certificates which is pretty much the only time I go but I find myself dissastisfied with them even when it's free. I'm just amazed they do as well as they do.

You made money eating at McDonalds. Look at it this way:

You could of had a sit down lunch: $21.00 with tax and tip
Your time in the restaurant for 45 minutes valued at: $60.00
Door dings to your car while parked at the restaurant: $185.00

    Total: $266.00
    - McD's $6.40

    Savings: $259.60

You can improve your savings next time by eating at Taco Bell!

McDonalds is part of my weight loss program, every time I after I eat there like 15 minutes later my IBS acts up and I'm sitting on the toilet for like 45 minutes just feeling the fat squirt away.

LOL! What I've been thinking is I could of taken my $6.40 gone to the grocery store and bought a bag of hamburg rolls some hamburg meat and cheese and I could of even splurged and bought some lettuce and then I could of eaten cheeseburgers for a week.
I wish we had a taco bell the nearest franchise I have near me is this McD. which is about 12 miles away. There was talk ONCE a while back about putting in a McDonalds while they were building the resort I live near but most of the residents here went into cardiac arrest at the thought of having a McDonalds or any such type of restaraunt here.

Now that's a way more graphic picture than I needed just before lunch.

And no, I wasn't going to eat Mickie D's, and for sure not now.

I'm sure prices vary around the country but I go the local Subway and get a footlong sandwich, chips and a Coke for just over $7. I'm not sure how much healthier it is since I get my sub loaded with good stuff and opt for a couple of cookies instead of chips but I cannot imagine that it's any worse than McD's burger and fries. Very satisfying

I love Mcdonalds, I grew up on it. Sure they mess up often, like those 4 times in a row I asked for a Big N' Tasty w/ cheese and they forgot the cheese. It really can ruin the experience of the sandwich when its not completed to your satisfaction. Besides those few incidents though, I could never drop McDonalds off of my diet.

MMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!! I love K.F.C. I have to stay away from it however since I have absolutely no willpower when it comes to original recipe. I usually eat about 10 pieces and then an hour later I feel like I've been run over by a semi.

Once you understand how KFC cooks their chicken, you will never eat there again! They pressure cook their chicken (cat, rat, etc) in big pots of oil. It's really gross.

But isn't that what Fast food is? It's not supposed to fill you up and have you satisfied. More like 'on the run' kind of stuff to keep your belly filled temporarily and happy. Burger King is the only that PARTLY keeps me and my belly satisfied but theres STILL that other part of me thats not satisfied.

BTW, FREE chicken selects for everyone until the 20th. 11-2pm at participating McDees. :)

I don't know about you guys, but if I eat a DOUBLE QP w/cheese for lunch I am definitely not hungry again for a long ass time!

One time while I was waiting to order at Wendy's the person in front of me order a TRIPLE STACK w/cheese, Biggie sized, with a medium frostee, and, get this, a DIET COKE!

    LOL!

    I second that.
I sometimes hit McD when I have late classes ... means I eat a simple QP with fries around 2pm, and am not hungry until 9-10pm!!!

Great documentary. I immediately went out and got a QP w/cheese just to show off my youthful metabolism :D
