Missed another chance to go with McLaren papaya, I see......Maybe they prefer a degree of invisibility given their performance. Gotta flash that Richard Mille bling, too.....
+1 And what's with the 'hatch' being open? Are they worried it'll overheat? Oh, wait...... Cheers, Ian EDIT; My bad, looking at it again it's one of the deflectors I'm looking at. Sorry.
Unfortunately if they don't considerably improve this season it's all over for McLaren ... while I am well aware that this is not really Bruce's team, a lot of New Zealanders will be sad. Pete
http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/2016/02/20/mclaren-mp4-31-first-pictures-revealed/ Wow it's ugly! That nose..
Ugly, but it´s obvious that they have put a lot of time and money in fine tunning the aero. If Honda has made its job, they´ll be fast.
Negotiating a separate deal with Omega, Rolex, IWC, TAG Heuer, Hublot, Casio, Oris, and a guy that makes sundials in a woodshed. Leave no stone unturned nor one back unstabbed.
It used to be only Caterham and Marussia designed F1 cars with box sections and straight edges because they couldn't afford a French curve... every other team managed to put curves in their cars. Has McLaren sold off all their CAD stations, or didn't pay the software license? There's only a ruler in the design office? The good bodywork layup guy quit, and the new guy only knows how to make flat sections? Oh, and what's with the bruises on Jenson's forehead? Has he been beating his head against the wall since they first showed the car to him yesterday? He's forcing that grin, thinking "they're paying me millions to drive this box and wear this stupid gaudy watch, just smile and say the same old platitudes..."
The car looks great imho, not sure what all the negative reactions w the nose is all about, the Ferrari car has a similar nose but no one got hung up on it? Williams too and no peep? So does redbull? Fickle crowd...
It's a bit longer, even more size zero...perhaps with it being a bit longer it'll help with cooling a bit more but I'm quite worried they haven't exactly learned their lesson here. Honda must've done some serious changes to the engine that Mclaren believes they can continue packaging their car like some stage 5 anorexic without it spewing whatever's left inside it's guts all over the track...
Can't say I blame him. I have never heard of Richard Mille until now, but I just looked them up and discovered some of the most hideous watches I've ever seen in my life. I don't know how they could give them away, let alone sell them for the large fortunes some of their lines seem to command. Baffling. All the best, Andrew.
Oh dear. I absolutely love RM watches. The ''massa'' range is very nice IMO. Image Unavailable, Please Login
