McLaren 600 LT!?

First of all, congrats on the purchase of the 600.

Second of all, please dont start all the crap about "Mclaren haters" and such. I seriously hope you are joking with that post because its very hard to be a Mclaren hater when you own the damn car! Ive had enough of that brand allegiance nonsense from Fchat- I sure as hell dont want to deal with it here.

 

I didn't mean to offend you nor was I replying specifically to you, but to some of the general commentary here. Of course I doubt there would be any real McLaren haters in the Mclaren chat, why bother being part of the chat if one is a McLaren hater?

 

I dont know what general commentary you are referring to as since they split the websites, its a pretty cordial and friendly environment here. Either way- just discuss your car and no need to start brand wars here. We are all car enthusiasts of all brands and we want each manufacturer to continue to improve. Right now Mac is doing pretty damn well and has my vote with my wallet and my mind share.

I'm not sure of 600 options, and hard to tell from pics, is the roof exposed CF?

 

Yes an exposed CF roof is an option among the many other CF options

Literally I’d sell my Ferrari to get a 600lt but after the Mclaren factory visit- it hunk they have some serious **** up there sleeve!!!!

 

I'm not following.. are you saying there are serious issues at the McLaren factory?

They were tight lipped but my lunch with one the designers was interesting. They were talking about future projects and how excited they were. Would t get into specifics but lots of activity going on.

 

And that is the reason why your new McLaren will depreciate 20-30% the moment you sign the sales agreement.

 

Which designer was it? They are always seriously excited because they always have fantastic new cars coming out. There will always be something better coming out. The pace never slackens at McLaren.

Anyone had their LT on the track yet? I'm waiting for it to warm up a bit and to stop traveling so much. We have a few track days planned at Sonoma, Buttonwillow and INDE out in AZ. Only have 400 miles on mine so far (helios)

 

It will be interesting to see how it compares to your P1. Obviously a different league but a more modern car.

 

Does anyone know how the 600LT compares to the 570s in terms of turbo lag? Are there improvements in this area?

 

Okay, only drove the thing 20 feet to get a wrap and ceramic coat.
Motor revs like crazy, big jump from 570S, definitely more “buzzy” with revised motor mounts. If the rest of the car is as transformed, IF, it will be like the jump from standard Cayman to GT4.
