Don't forget the 350 70th Anniversary editions. You realize how significant 70 is. Oh - maybe not. I'll hold out for the 75th Anniversary. Better chance I'll like one of those 375 cars. IPO is making Ferrari chase earnings forecasts and analysts' expectations. We'll see more of this in the future. Sad but predictable.
You mean the Ferrari "specials" such as a mid-engine turbo v8 street car to celebrate a front engine v-12 race car? ...and Mclaren is getting crap for needless special editions?
So are Ferrari labelled toilet roll holders. Lets face it, stick a Ferrari badge on anything and some people will buy them ... Pete
What do you mean "next" --- enjoy this one, there will be more to come, but relish the downturn. Best
I love McLaren as a company but this looks awful. The high sport of the MP4-12C wasn't a great looker either. The 675LT (hardtop) is the best version of that platform.
Ferrari's marketing program is just more established and predictable. That's all. None of this proves one cares more about their customers than the other.
+1 675 LT is a superb car but McLaren is playing with the customers. The arrival of 675 Spider has already depreciated the value a bit of the coupe.
Maybe. My point is that McLaren need to get a better process of product roll out. They are pretty consistently on under threat of law suits by owners. Now with the news of McLaren releasing a center drive hyper car it's even worse with the P1 owners saying WTF. Ferrari have a system that so far has for mid engine V8 models minimizes depreciation on regular models and their special series values hold or appreciate.
I'm pumped another company is delivering pure sports cars. I see this as a ramp up to compete and in 5-10 yrs the roll out of new models etc will be more consistent. I feel like it is growing pains with a young company. Really like the 570GT
Friend of mine was on the list for a 675LT; He asked if they a spider was coming as he'd rather have that. Was categorically told NO, multiple times. He specs the 675LT and a few days later they announce the 675LT Spider. He wasn't happy...
Mclaren makes cars. Yes. And they have performance and all the positive things. Maybe because I don't pay much attention to them and don't understand their line ups. They all look alike besides P1. Obviously it is totally different from what and how Ferrari does. You need to sell certain number of cars to stay in the market, which is the first focus for any company but in order to keep or raise the brand awareness and its value, they should come up with a strategic plan. That's what I don't see in mclaren. They tweak around and pumping different models constantly but doesn't have something to drop people's jaws. Cars should come out with specific plans which mclaren is missing. Good products with not too good marketing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Why LOL? Do you think the Coupé owners of this car will be disillusioned with their purchase, wishing they had a Spider instead? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well that depends of how McLaren will 'play' with that. Remember that after this 25 cars...another dozens will come up with another special edition. It is McLaren's policy to sell cars in this way.
Do you mean that they will continue to raise the level of the bar? How can we expect Ferrari to keep up? Mclaren is out of control, they are developing freaking monsters that will make it impossible to beat them.
Did McLaren make you pay to get in or did you enjoy Ferrari's free hospitality? Ferrari does it right but man was it ever crowded! So many fanboys eating all the finger food and drinking all the beers! I think I'll try McLaren next year for a bit more peace and their great view, even if I have to open my wallet and let the moths out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That YouTube rich kid Shmee150 who owned a 12c, 650s Spider, 675LT (MSO) and 675LT Spider (MSO) recently said he tried to get one 10 months ago when he first got wind of it, but his list of McLaren ownership wasn't good enough to get a 688HS. He said he knows 5 people that are getting the 688HS, four owners have P1s and one has a McLaren F1, so take that for what it's worth.
