    Ditto, Ditto -

Who gives a rip if one owns a Ferrari or not - there's a small number of people I know who owning a Ferrari is not a big deal nor do they make anything of it - it's just a nice car. . . me included.

Thursday will be here soon enough guys.

I don't expect much resolution on Thursday, July 26th.

Please remember Max promised resolution in three weeks. that's next week and no later than august 1st.

I would like resolution ASAP but think they will wait to the 11th hour to show they "carefully considered" all the facts blah blah blah.

Whether you own a Fcar or not my dad can beat up your dad, so there. :D

    Hi Carol,
To tell you the truth, I don't give a rat's a*s, if people participating here have a Ferrari or not, it has nothing to do with that. That is probably true of the rest of the members that he has also offended here....But I for one, don't care much for liars, particularly ones that continually hurl volleys of insults at people who are attempting to have somewhat intelligent discussions. It's not a problem to have a differing point of view, BUT it is a BIG problem when you can't support that point of view with intelligence and wisdom and so you then resort to insults, erroneously thinking that improves your ability to demonstrate your superior powers of reasoning and debating skills???

I don't think you are attempting to defend this ridiculous behavior...are you?

This child, has offended a number of members here, on numerous occasions, repeatedly belittling their profession, making demeaning public appraisals of their character and calling names. He should be banned.

    Regards,
    Bill

Agreed. He who lives in a glass house should not throw rocks. The three stoogies are now throwing his rocks back and he wants everyone to help him build a brick house to stop us looking into the garage.

sorry man, I'm no stooge or deliberately on your side, just stating facts as I see them from my angle.

I hate condescending people from ANY walk of life let alone someone hiding behind a keyboard with limited intelligence.

Bill365 and PhilNotHill make me laugh at nearly every post they make but they also have some good points that get overlooked (well not Phil, he doesn't take this seriously :D )

I've always said anyone can own these silly cars, it's keeping them maintained properly that is the trick !!

I don't really care if senna3xsilly has a Ferrari or not, common decency seems to have deserted him along with a sense of humour

Only a triple...my right coronary artery has been 100% blocked since 1981. But with diet and exercise I have built collateral arteries. Just finished a 5k walk for the Cure with my wife. My knees can't take the pounding of running any more.

Life is good. Every day out of the hospital is a great day. ;)

Look, arsehole, that fcuking idiot 355 is the arsehole who raised the issue of Ferrari ownership, not me. My comment was in direct response to his provocation.

I do not, however, expect an idiot like you to understand the distinction

    OK, jerkoff, here it is:

Since you seem to believe that McLaren should be penalized for lying then presumably you are willing to suffer the same fate for making false accusations against me, this is what I will do.

I will post pictures, bill of sale, registration, insurance card, name of the salesman, name of the Ferrari mechanic who maintains my car, I will even post the business card of the detail shop that details it for me.

However, you and your two arse-buddies, Bill365 and 355, will do the following:

    1) You willl all three post an apology to me on these boards.

    2) You will all inform the moderator that you are requesting to be permanently banned from these boards.

    3) The moderator will acknowledge your request and will enforce the ban once I post the above mentioned information.

We will then have whatever evidence you so dearly seem to need, you will all three suffer the repurcussions of your slanderous accusation against me, and the rest of us will be rid of your insipid and moronic drivel.

    Agreed?

Well, again for the record: He did answer an hour after I posted. However, the question was this:

Who do you like better, Ferrari or McLaren?

I got the answer "I am a Ferrari fan and a Ferrari owner".

I have reason to believe that he may very well be both - but that in itself may not be an anwer to my question as posed. My question was intended to bring into light which Formula One 2007 team Senna favors.

My point was that while posting an attitude of "scrupulous fairness" toward McLaren he was giving the impression to many here of bashing Ferrari and our Ferrari supporters.

And I still don't like the name-calling and ad hominem attacks. On either side of this.

PS. I take the Ferrari side in this one up until now - and I am not ashamed to say so. My reason is simple: the MCL guy had Ferrari plans in his hands. If it were the other way around, I would have to take the MCL side. Or, if the facts turn out to not be what is reported, then I will admit I was wrong.

PSS. The only thing I wrap in aluminum foil is the occasional baked potato or roast beef.

I promise to all that I have never used A.F. ever to bridge a blown fuse - no matter what the temptation. Real men use .22 rounds for this, or so I have heard.

    OK BOYS.

Time to dial back the rhetoric in this thread.

I see several of you kids have come in here to play, and none are playing nicely.

There's always a lot of heat associated with F1 and team loyalties, but the monkeys are starting to toss way too much poo in here. (And you all know who you are! :D)

So, for the sake of keeping this thread open, and trying to get it back on track, let's do this. If you all want to continue to challenge each other to ****** slapping competition, do it in OTHER OFF TOPIC let's stick to racing here.

Any more off topic or abusive posts may result in their getting deleted, and the poster getting a time out on the steps.

If we really need to see a picture of one guy's car to prove his bona fides, or if a mass resignation is requested, let's get it out of here and into OTHER OFF TOPIC.

I'm not gonna close the thread, or sort it out for now, but please get it BACK ON TRACK! I do not want to spend 1/2 hour or more digging the junk out of these posts.

    Thanks all.

Dave (the voice of reason) M

    James:

Thanks for the post. Just to clarify for the record, I am rooting for Ferrari to win the Constructors title and for Kimi to (finally) win the WDC, I have never made a secret of this.

I am also rooting for close, exciting racing and if, when the dust settles, a 3 or 4-way battle down to the last race results in either Hamilton or Alonso winning the WDC, I will still be excited as I enjoy a spirited battle for the title first and foremost.

I respect McLaren as a competitor as they have a long history of top performance, I feel they are a worthy adversary. I thought the same of Williams, though they have fallen on a bit of a hard time lately. I am excited that BMW is up there in the rankings and I think JB is the best driver in F1 outside of the top 3 (Alonso, Kimi, and Hamilton). I don't think much of Massa, I think he is a mid-ranked driver that is being flattered by his car. I think Rubens was the best #2 at Ferrari since the start of the Schumacher era. I think Alonso is the most complete driver in F1, I think Kimi is the fastest man in F1, and I think Hamilton is the next great driver in F1 and will eventually surpass both Kimi and Alonso. I think Scott Speed is getting a raw deal at STR and I think Nick Heidfeld is the most underrated driver in F1 at present. I think Kubicka and Rosberg are not yet living up to their hype, I think Webber and Ralf are both overdue for retirement. I think DC, Alex Wurz and Jarno Trulli are still deserving of their place on the grid and I think Anthony Davidson and Heikki are both disappointments. And I think Ayrton Senna is the greatest F1 driver who ever lived, had he not been killed at Imola then Schumacher would still be chasing his records.

I hope that clears things up... ;)

    +1.

A healthy and spirited debate is one thing, name calling and put downs has no place here at all.
