McLaren design interview

This explains a lot. Efficiency. While I get it for the track, I personally think it's over applied in the street cars they make. To me McLarens lack emotion and interest, the repeated efforts to pay homage to the mclaren swoosh all around the car suggests seems over done, irrespective of how fast the car is. Maybe there should be more tension between the designers and the engineers - maybe there should be "us versus them".
