Well Ron, I don't know about all that, but I'm sure you will be competitive fairly soon. 2017s shake up may do you some favors....

I think they better pull off a miracle soon or they're going to look like total fools and be the laughing stock of the paddock. Either way... why even go that route? Why not just keep your mouth shut.. keep the rhetoric and hype locked up and just do your talking on the track. What's better than that? I mean what's better: Quietly and unassumingly achieve results beyond expectation or mouthing off and falling short?

I just don't understand the point of statements like these. What are they hoping to achieve? If they beat Ferrari, big deal, they'll be 5th or something. If they don't, they look silly.

I suspect the lack of sponsors is starting to hurt more, is causing the recent statements in advance of Monaco where many sponsors are present. As already beaten to death, like in every walk of life it's results that count, but this might just be a function of desperation.

Either fools or very very diluted geniuses I'd say.

I think it's just to keep the PR machine going.

Saying something stupid is better than saying nothing these days, haven't you noticed?

It works in business, in politics, in entertainment and even in sport.

I think they are really just confident to do well in Monaco. I think they'll slip back again in Canada. Too many straights.

Yep, Mclaren really upped their game in Monaco...
