Kinda off topic but I was in my Ferrari when I snuck up behind it. It was one of the few times I was without my digital camera so no pictures. The car was sliver with a California plate-MCLRNF1. It was on the 101 in Scottsdale, Az around 3:00pm. It came out of McDowell Mtn Ranch. Anyone know whose it is?

What was the sale price? I'm just wondering because I was at Shelton Ferrari, in Florida...and they had a silver Mclaren F1. It wasn't for sale though. I guess it was just a "display model"....

Well, the love for the Mclaren F1 here makes it tough to push to off-topic; its probably a better fit for Supercars though.

Not yours Armen. Peter bought the car in Cologne Germany, took it to South Africa for a while and brought it to the US, originally to Newport Beach in 2002, then to Scottsdale in 2003.

It's a perfect example and he has maintained it meticulouly, but driven hard as well.

Peter Manelis's car isn't it? One of the two F1's in AZ. I've talked to him about seeing the car once...heh.

Having seen the original question asked, and then this reply, I have to admit I was curious and clicked to view your profile. Great collection you have there! I just have to ask, does your garage go under the house as it doesn't seem nearly big enough to house your beauties? Was the Enzo the deciding factor in selling the McLaren(you had a chance to approach that realm of performance and you obviously have Rosso Corsa pumping through your veins)?

That car is owned by Jim Clark, founder of Netscape. I have no idea why the car is there since Mr. Clark is based in CA and the car is not for sale. It was also seen at this years Cavallino Show. I hope its at shelton over the summer since i'll be down there. It makes appearences there every so often

I spotted an Orange McLaren F1 up in Monterey about 2 years ago at the Mint Auction, "Christies" I think. It was driving up and down the street trying to find a parking spot, but I can't remember if I saw that silver one you saw in AR.....I saw one driving on the highway in California last year, and I think It was the MCLRNF1 California Liscence plate

The orange one would be Dan Kennedys, the other Scottsdale McLaren. The silver one would be Mr. Manelis' car

    Mr. Gugasian,

I've dragged my girlfriend to your business countless times to view your beautiful cars. I think I went down to look at the McLaren F1 you had at least 5 times. You have a beautiful collection, thanks for allowing even those of us who can't afford them a chance to see them.

    Sincerely,

    Sean
