This makes sense for Murray who is all about efficiency and eco friendliness. The V8 will probably have ridiculously low emmissions yet be very flexible and torquey. Judging from Murray's other ideologies the car will be very light, very pure, and very very fast.

Gordon Murray left McLaren Cars after the SLR project.

He recently started his own company - appropriately named "Gordon Murray Design". You can read about it here:

    http://www.evo.co.uk/news/evonews/209814/murrays_city_car_takes_shape.html

I don't think McLaren are truly planning to release a successor to the F1 as the lead article claims. I think that kind of lofty goal is unreasonable in the current economic climate and expect the next car they produce to be an F430/Gallardo competitior.

Yeah, I forgot about that. Even so, I stand by my statement with the caveat that "Mclaren" cars were built on those ideologies and will hopefuly continue with any new cars. The SLR was a watered down McLaren concept IMO.

My thoughts too. No center seat, two people only. I'm curious too how it's going to be faster than the F1(as stated in story), including what their route is for body design in regards to weight. Kinda going off topic, in the same link originally provided, there was another for the Mercedes SLC....WTF happened, a Miata bang a VIper?
