This is one of my favourite cars and i like these pics as well just thought i would share them. http://dugmar.smugmug.com/gallery/71983/2/2945279
I think someone on here knows the owner of this car. That is definitly still one of the top supercars to own even for it's age. I like the orange color also.
the owner is name Frank i have forgotten his second name though he posts on the automotive forums. He also has a 2 road cars a silver and a black one
There was a car identical to that auctioned off at Christie's (I think, or maybe Sotheby's) in London recently. Damn that is one hot ride.
THe F1LM is an awesome car and far superior (if you can believe it) to a "standard" F1 God I love that car!
All (only 5 produced) the F1 LM's were painted in orange to pay tribute to Bruce McLaren's race car livery. Just a few little factoids.
some people think that 2 were painted blacl/grey with graphics which the sultan of brunai brought. I have seen a picture of one, the pic was very small and grainy though i will see if i can find it
I saw that there was a black LM for sale about a year ago in...Chicago? I thought that a second owner must have bought it and had it repainted by McLaren. It is possible for any new owner to send the car to McLaren and have it outfitted to their specs.
are you sure you aren't thinking of the 009R, the replica of 001R. I re-posted a pic of it recently on automotive forums or in a brunei thread in here. If not PLEEEEEEEEESE POST
Last year in a roundabout way I found out who does the repaints for Mclaren. They farm it out. At that time Mclaren charged $50,000 for a repaint. If you went direct to the painter it was $25,000.
it was a regular road car, chassis #069, originally silver but repainted to charcoal grey. it was illegally imported and seized and last time i heard it was still sitting in a customs warehouse. Frank Selldorff owns the only lm in the US
Frank Seldorff is his name - very nice guy. Lives in Boston, keeps his cars with Turner Motorsports. I met him during the AMLS races at Infineon along with Faisal, who I believe knows him. Pretty brave to be running that thing int he snow - I'd imagine it's not ging to go anywhere... --Dan
Is the ray bellm car for sale through them? Its not on their site. its on qv500 although i wouldn't be surprised if it was through them. Taylor and crawley have 2 road cars and a gtr.
