They may have told Honda how to package it, but Honda obviously let that go in one ear and out the other...... the packaging was one of the roots of the problem, that they couldn’t cool the engine well enough was one of them
What, you mean there would be genuine Mclaren stroller out there, advertising mclaren strollers? Hehehehehe, a perfect fit for young lance, till some yummy mummy overtakes him and dusts him around the supermarket car park pushing hers!
Zak Brown's been "poundin the pavement" for more sponsors. McLaren set to announce new sponsors McLaren is poised to announce a number of new partners in the coming weeks after seeing an increase in interest ahead of the 2018 season. Executive director Zak Brown recently explained his preference to avoid a title sponsor as he targeted a number of different partnerships at the start of the McLaren-Renault era. With the team having lost a number of sponsors in recent years, Brown – who admits he has "a target on my back" – says multiple new deals have already been agreed and will be revealed in the near future. . . "We're talking substantial conversations with lots of great brands. We've signed a few and we'll start announcing them this month. You've heard of all of them. They are the types of partners you would expect McLaren to have – leaders, captains of industry, great sectors – but we've got a ways to go. I'm not anticipating unveiling the car and there's no room left on the car." . . "So we've had sufficient time to build relationships and you're going to start to see more. I think it will take another year or two to really get to where we want to be – it's not going to happen overnight." http://www.racer.com/f1/item/146795-mclaren-set-to-announce-new-sponsors
Their new documentary is coming up on Amazon. I wouldn't be surprised to see some Amazon on this car...
Yep, it's on Autosport: https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/134270/mclaren-set-to-land-new-dell-deal Rgds
Caterham was just sponsorship. This is a technical sponsorship/partnership like Qualcomm/Petronas/Merc, Shell/Mahle/Ferrari, BP/Microsoft/Renault, etc.
Now that McLaren's been a back marker for a while I highly doubt these new sponsors are paying much Plus there probably linked to results as well. Ron Dennis deserved to get fired for rejecting title sponsorship offers he thought were too low thus suffering many years of NO title sponsorship money. Anyway that's my 2 cents worth
The drivers suit should have the same colour...because in some countries you are only allowed to climb out of you broken down car roadside by wearing a signal orange warning vest...
No I get that. It's not "nothing". Its good for them and highly usable/ valuable. But it's not cash they can use where ever they want -- like paying Alonso $40M a year or paying Renault for their engines.
