Asked if it was a sign Alonso's patience was wearing thin, Boullier replied: "I don't think so. I saw him after the race, he was Ok. To be fair to him I understand, he wants to race but you have tyres, then you have to save fuel and there's so much fuel to be saved. Then you go into another territory where the more you save the less you charge the battery, so then you have a problem to re-charge your battery and then your tyres cool down ... It's just a mess, you know? He was just frustrated."

Eric Boullier has no concerns over Fernando Alonso temperament after Canadian Grand Prix radio rant

Great for road cars Id say but lets get back to racing and not managing. The para above puts it all nicely in perspective.

Concern is growing for ex-McLaren boss Martin Whitmarsh following reports that he ‘just can’t stop laughing’.

Friends of the former team principal say the ‘uncontrollable mirth’ began around 15 March and has been coming and going in waves ever since, subsiding to a ‘general chuckle’ in the week and peaking at ‘full blown howls of derisive laughter’ which typically happen ‘every other Sunday or so’.

Doctors say they are yet to find the cause of Whitmarsh’s constant and uncontrollable laughter. ‘We have asked him if it relates to something in his past,’ admitted one medic. ‘But that just seems to make him laugh harder’.

Whitmarsh himself is said to be incapable of explaining what is making him laugh for so long and with such glee, only getting as far as an ‘M’ sound before exploding into fits of giggles.

‘We are no closer to finding out why he’s been so amused since the early hours of a Sunday morning in March,’ admitted one senior doctor. ‘Although I have just spoken to a colleague in Woking who reports seeing a mild version of the same condition suffered by a Mr Magnussen.’

The most ironic is McLaren's motto itself: "There is no finish line"

Or Ron's: "second is the first of the losers"

He'll be happy now. With only Marussia behind them he's the last of the winners.

I don't get it. If the year is lost, because it really is, why don't they use the tokens,
which they started, push the HP and let them drive? Why on earth is Alonso "coasting"?
If the tires are shot is one thing, but don't save bloody fuel. Keep pushing the car
until it breaks, runs out of fuel or something. If they need testing, use the races to
test and get the bottom of where the weakest links are. It's not as if they have
chances to score points, right? Normally in Canada you'd expect the Safety Car due
to some crashes and some brake failures, but nothing like that happens then there is
no chance whatsoever to score points. Use the mileage somehow.

I have to laugh at the Honda commercials that run in the US during the F1 races. They brag about lawn mowers, motorcycles and Indy Cars. Senna could not be reached for comment.

They have nothing to lose. Might as well go out there, and scare the front runner or midfield with their so called Honda power.

What a stupid, disaster campaign by Honda. I wonder why Button didn;t run away when he saw Honda coming. Utter joke.

I remember my husband saying that Alonso wanted to swap teams with Vettel or Hamilton because they were the only drivers he thought we might take in trade if he left. But those drivers would not want to leave their teams for Ferrari because we were really struggling last season. I think Fernando was very surprised when Sebastian decided to come to Ferrari and his old team Red Bull didn't jump to take Fernando on as a driver. And I think Fernando had only the one choice to return to life with the difficult Mr. Dennis. But now I think he is very sorry to have to deal with that situation because it is far worse than imagined. I don't think Button is having it much easier, but he is an easier going person.

It is ironic that they advertise "fuel your senses" with McLaren Honda - they couldn't even keep enough fuel in the car to drive in a normal manner, let alone do anything for anyone's senses.

Fred knew his time at ferrari was up but he thought that he could take Hamilton seat with his backers in Spain but it looks like they will stay with ferrari. Honda like I've said from day one will not make it again in f1 . Now MacLaren's in a bad financial position with the building you that Technical Center in the early 00s . magazine called wire got a inside look as uncle RON said how much it cost. If I remember right McLaren had to borrow something like 800 or 900 million dollars to complete the project that's when they where making money in f1 now they can't even find a sponsor and whos going to spend money when you lead driver is a walking pr nightmare . The great thing about micheal is he though before saying some thing fred and his people thing the media is there to listen to how bad they are being treated and how bad their cars are and how bad the management is. Only thing good about kimi and there is not much is he never talks about anything

Probably they are not even at that point: the car breaks even when not pushing. Also I suppose that you can learn more things when the car is running, even if slowly, than sitting at the box. After all, they can see if something is going wrong in the telemetry without blowing the engine.

Point taken. But if that is the case, then there has to be some sort of understanding
between the drivers and management. If they need to go slow to test things, then
the drivers need to change their position and being proactive to test the car. If Alonso
knows that he is that slow for testing purposes, then he should change his complains
and not say that he's 'coasting'. Look at Button, his attitude is completely different
and they are in the same boat. Maybe Alonso is playing a card to leave the team.

Another example, Hulk is being impatient for not having the B-spec car. He just needs
to shut up and drive and be patient and wait for the updated car. There is no point in
*****ing if you know where the team stands.
