    The McLaren MCL38 livery prediction
I predict the MCL38 livery will bring back white as secondary color as well as black trim details for 2024 season. I love to see white livery again in McLaren Formula 1 car as well as white race suit.

    Your opinions?

I have my doubts. White was certainly a big part of the Marlboro-era (1974-1996) livery but paired with dayglo red rather than papaya, but much less so in the original papaya period (1967-1973), except for the Yardley cars (1972-1974) which were mainly white. The main thing is that all the current black areas are in fact uncovered carbon fibre and thus represent a valuable weight saving. I'd love for them to get rid of the pale blue which looks weak next to the papaya and replace it with a brighter accent colour or no third colour at all.

Cars are overweight currently pushing anywhere from 790kgs to 800kgs. Anymore paint on the car just increases the weight.

Wait till 2026 when the weight of the cars comes down and we'll probably see more paint on the cars.
