Thanks for your advice... I'll weigh it appropriately.

The thread is fine... but as with any thread that makes even corollary reference to McLaren, the name "Hamilton" will undoubtedly come up, at which point the jealousy and anger of some becomes too much to take, and the Hamilton bashing begins.

'least it's not race based though, which is nice. I'm sure we both had strong reactions when we saw the racist jerks at Spain.

Spain should be taken off of the F1 calender because of the disgusting behavior of those animals. What Hamilton did in Australia is still not acceptable in Professional Motor racing, He tried to get away with it this time and was caught, how many times has he done it in the past and got away with it and when will he do it again? McLaren threw david Ryan on the sword to take the heat, I wonder what he got as a golden parachute.

Is it just me, or does this seem extremely picky, in light of telemetry and radio recordings?

I'm going to sue McLaren as well. I was wearing a team hat the other day and a bunch of guys pointed and laughed. The pain. The suffering.

You have to admit that Dr. Evil and Ron Dennis do look a lot alike.

I don't understand the sympathy for LH's actions, how would everyone feel if Tiger Woods deliberately misled officials in a PGA golf tournament, his career would be OVER

I don't think there's as much sympathy for Mac/Lewis as their is condemnation of the inconsistent and erratic behavior of the FIA. Drivers/teams lie all the time, so be consistent and destroy every perpetrator.

Also, don't compare golf ethics to race series ethics. Golf has infinitely more integrity than auto racing. F1 is currently just ahead of wrestling from an integrity standpoint.

...why don't YOU read the news and get your facts straight? LH has been summoned as a 'witness', as he has already admitted his fault in this matter. Something about the LH haters on this forum is distinctly unpleasant...

About the only place you find such condemnation of the FIA is on chat sites like this. Its the minority that condemn the FIA, and in this case as most, they did not cause the problem. Where ever you turn, it is Lewis Hamilton that is receiving bad marks. Even amongst the other drivers.

Did you ever consider that Hamilton's action was so obvious, so provable, the FIA had no choice but to act? Can you or anyone prove that the FIA has been inconsistent with participant lies? Did you consider that as a team McLaren has the worst reputation for honesty? Ever since Teddy Mayer left, this team has done numerous questionable acts. From stabbing Williams in the back to accepting and using the Ferrari dossier.

And actually you should blame SpeedTV for this debacle, I understand they are the ones that brought Hamilton's indecretion to the FIA's attention. Now I wonder why they would do that? Could it be that it was so obvious, and so wrong, that even those Hamilton loving announcers wanted the situation corrected?

I still can not understand why in this situation anyone is blaming the FIA. Hamilton admitted he lied, Whitmarsh admitted Ryan lied, end of story.

Wonder what Mercedes Benz is thinking about all of this. You know there is some poor bastard of a consultant trying to spin this that even bad press coverage is good marketing...
