    interesting, from f1-live.com

For the record, the rumour goes on that any buyout of Rosberg's solid Williams contract could involve the transfer of McLaren property Lewis Hamilton to Frank Williams' team.

“I have a lot of respect for Frank,” Dennis said, “but we would both do anything to win.”

Alonso & Rosberg in 2007 - is the next best thing compared to Kimi & Alonso.

But i am starting to think Kimi will stay at McLaren.

in 2007 we will have few people who can win WC

    McLaren with Alonso
    Renault with their fin
    Ferrari with ??????

Honda with Button fighting for the 4th spot.

if Kimi will switch to Ferrari he will lose valuable time. I think he will stay with McLaren.

I'm starting to think that if Renault stays in F1 that they will go after Kimi. Can you imagine Kimi in a fast and reliable car? He may recognize that Renault is the only team capable of giving him such a car.

If Renault can stay on top that is. They can tumble down just as quickly as Ferrari did in 05' or McLaren and William in 04'. As good as Renault may be at this time, they still don't have the type of track records that McLaren, William or Ferrari has in F1.

I think one of the drivers that Renault will also be targetting for the next season is Mark Webber. Pat Symmonds is full of praise for his work ethic and speed. Besides, Webber's contract ends this year.

So maybe if Fisi is kicked out assuming a poor season, then it could be Webber/Kovaleinen next year. If Fisi does well and wins a few more races, then perhaps it could Fisi/Kovaleinen or maybe Kovaleinen and Webber swap seats :)

For Kimi, yes the Renault car looks mighty tempting but I sense that he would go to Ferrari. Of course for REnault it will be a massive coup and one finger salute to McLaren if Kimi comes over. :)

I hope Rosberg keeps his head down this season and uses his opportunity wisely. He shouldnt be a Button who was partly distracted by all the hubbub in his debut season.

Pat Symonds is not only a fan of Webber but Fisichella too. But I feel that Fisi will be out unless he wins the title or matches FA's pace all season. Fisi and Flavio are getting along these days. Who knows what will happen...

    Nico to McLaren..lol
Ron will promise Nico that he will become the youngest WC ever just like he did with Kimi.

I wish Ferrari were interested in Rosberg. I guess we're stuck with Rossi. (not fast enough but I hope he proves me wrong.)

I don't think Renault can afford Kimi. I think in 2007 Kimi will be either in McLaren or Ferrari. And may be in Melbourne we'll see who is faster - McLaren or Ferrari.

    JPM beating MS and Massa.

And in Bahrain Kimi coming all the way from the back to end up right behind MS.

Yeah I think unfortunately Ferrari will be sitting in the 3 spot again this year. Although their third place this year will be much stronger than last year where they were lucky for third. As for Nico, it looks like which ever team gets him will be lucky. He could turn out to be one hell of a driver. Maybe we should all sign a petition demanding Ferrari sign him.

I can see Nico moving to Mclaren but not anytime soon. Also Im sure he would rather win a Championship with Williams then with Mclaren.

i think winning the title with williams will be better than at mac. notthing personal, but so far, i think the williams car is pretty quick this season. the engine blow in malaysia was a disaster, but i think cosworth will recover fast. not so sure if mac's car is still as fragile as last year, as there were rumours that mac is doin everything they can to gain upperhand in the terms of speed. as for ferrari, i still think it's too early to say they are the 3rd fastest. who knows, when they get back to europe, they'll settle the engine problems, then, MS and massa can push the car again without any doubts about the engine. all i can say is, the season is really spicing up as the season progress. somehow, i have this feeling that both JPM and kimi won't be at mac next season..

Renault and Williams won the WC in 92, 93, 96,and 97, as well as Renault's success last year, and given the performance that they are having this year, I can see Kimi giving up some pay to go to a team that really has a chance of giving him a reliable and fast car. Ferrari might have won 5 years in a row, but before that there was a mighty long drought. Maybe Nico will go to Renault but I would prefer so see Kimi go there. Maybe both if Fisichella is let go.

Ron wants want Frank has, with the exception of Webber, this has always been the case.

I hope that Renault stays in it for the long term, signs Kimi and allows him to grab a WDC in 2007, something that Ron failed to do in 2003 and 2005.

I'd be delighted to see Nico and Kimi at Ferrari and yes I want Ferrari to win. We're in wild agreement here.

I just meant Nico at McLaren would be good for the kid. He is darn fast, but he needs to learn a few tricks and spending some time at McLaren won't hurt Ferrari's chances and will help him develop.

At any rate, what Ferrari needs is a future driver who is fast. Alonso is gone to the dark side. Nico is still learning. So I hope Kimi will forfeit the Toyota millions and join the Scuderia. Otherwise there is only Montoya left. :)

    Oh wait: There is Kovalainen!

Korr: I loved your comment about Webber. You're right, Dennis always wants (and often gets) what Frank has.

Although I respect McLarens past history, I don't respect the fact that McLaren loves to steal from Williams. Case in point, TAG in the mid 80's was a Williams Sponsor. Next it was Honda from Williams. Then in the 90's first they stole Dave Brown, next it was the big one, Adrian Newey. Not to mention Neil Oatley was originally a Williams man as well.
