Brown’s credibility is zero. He says he’s upset people suggest it’s “Alonso’s team” and that Alonso had nothing to do with it.

Well, you’ve been cautauing to him for three years letting him shoot off his mouth while defending him against your own sponsor. You’ve even gotten him an Indy car ride and letting him run endurance races during the F1 season.

What do you expect us to believe?

So, after the damage he did in 2007 at McLaren, Alonso came back to completely wreck the team this time.

I’ll probably get booted off the Ferrari board for saying this but I really REALLY like their street cars and I hope they continue churning out the hits with those. I’ve always been a Ferrari fan but when I sampled a Mc I was blown away.

It is sad though to see the F1 team in the current shape it’s in, along with Williams.

I think McLaren street cars can compete on the market with Ferrari, but personally, I don't like their dihedral doors.
It may seem strange, but it's a real put-off characteristic of these cars ( and the Lamborghini too); I only like "classic" doors.

If you remember Ron left the F 1 team to work on the Street car part of their business.

Let's hope that side of his 'heritage' at McLaren will be durable.

I despise their looks but dynamically excellent street cars. Mclaren F1 are a disaster.

I prefer the 720s to the 488 in both looks and performance. And I quite like the dihedral doors...

That's good. Obviously McLaren must have made some market research before adopting them on their cars.

I am maybe one of the small percentage not enamoured with them. Call me old fashion ...

720s is exotic but not beautiful.

I disagree with you on this one.

Saw one IRL a few weeks ago and it looked absolutely gorgeous. Even those quirky headlights look fantastic. (And dare I say it here: it looks more beautiful than the "standard" 488 GTB.)

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

As a designer, it's hard for me to believe this look will stand the test of time. Too many visual gimmicks.

I think the same about some stunning women, sometimes.

But this is another subject ...

Agreed. Otherwise, we would be all driving the same car and chasing the same woman.

I am not a fan of car design these days with all the "crinkles and wrinkles". But I was surprised that the "fussy" 720 headlights and front (as seen on pictures) look very good IRL.

It's expected to have similar performance as the 488 GTB...
In another note, from the french magazine Sport Auto:
    - they have tested the GT2RS, and with "regular" Michelin PSC2 (since the "R" PSC2 used for the Ring record are not yet available) it could not beat the 488 GTB time on the Le Mans Bugatti track (with the same driver, Christophe Tinseau, many times LeMans 24h participant... and also working for the Porsche driving shool)
    - they also have tested the McLaren 720S, it will probably be in the magazine next month - and from their comments (they did obviously not disclose the results) it has probably set a new benchmark (the Lambo Performante is currently at the top).

I’d be interested in how the Performante compares, going strictly by what car reviews have been saying about it. I like looking at Lambos but have been let down actually driving them.

I feel the same way with the standard versions, but I think the new Pista looks better than the 720S. I felt the same way with the 650S/458. I like the base 650S more than the 458, but I think the Speciale is nicer than both...

I prefer the both 458 and the Speciale to the 650s. I really don't care for the ait intakes on the haunches of the 488.

I find them too clinical. Speciale over the 675LT. P1 LM is seriously cool though, or more realistically...P1 with LM bits added.
