I don't want to be ****** but I think this is the slice of humble pie Alonso needed. The Toyota win at Le Mans and the WDC season has come a tad too easy. I believe in him but he needs to put in his work here and build up a team. This was his problem in F1....

 

As great as a driver Alonso is , he is poison to a team

 

What a mess... Will Mclaren recover from all this? An F1 team that’s mid pack at best, a total disaster at Indy, no Lemans presence. The whole motorsport division is under performing.

It would be better for McLaren to concentrate on F1, and forget an elusive win at Indy.

 

McLaren F1 has improved greatly this season. If they had Ferrari, Mercedes or Honda power . . .

 

Given how bad they were at Indy this year I'd say they did forget about it.

 

Really, McLaren's best bet is to recover ASAP the Mercedes engines they had in the past.
The conflict between Ron Dennis and Mercedes is water Under the bridge now.
These engines are wasted on Williams, and would do nicely on McLaren chassis.
But Toto Wolff may well decide to block that ...

Todays qualifs were an encouraging sign.

 

I’ve not understood how they have Coca-Cola, Dell, & Hilton for sponsors.

 

HO scale I’m presuming.

 

McLaren is outperforming Renault and is on the ascendancy, one of the few bright parts in todays race. With a decent powerplant . . .

 

They are currently 4th in the constructors after today's (FrenchGP) race.

If McLaren keeps this up, they could be the team of the year......a vast turnaround from last year where they placed 6th; behind HAAS and Renault.

 

I think they will be a force to be reckoned with within 2 years

 

I wonder how they'll integrate this without ruining the visual purity of Paragon
