https://www.motor1.com/news/349374/mclaren-grand-tourer-spied/ How much more can they milk the same engine/chassis? Not to talk about styling
Lambo have 3 pretty different platforms and probably fewer models among them currently than mclaren with its only 1 platform since it became a manufacturer
Another day another Ferrari clone only with same old engine and configuration... yawn... https://www.topgear.com/car-news/supercars/surprise-mclaren-building-ultimate-series-roadster
Ferrari Monza you say? Give us a minute... If they had a new idea at Mclaren it would die of loneliness. https://uk.motor1.com/photo/4504938/mclaren-elva/
The fact that Mercedes did a roofless roadster followed by Ferrari simply enhances the lack of originality by McLaren. Not to mention the marketing story of some car BruceMcLaren made in the 60’s that no one cared about until this morning. I’m not buying it sorry!
In what way? Recent Ferraris aren’t such lookers but the Monza is a masterpiece. The “elva” (what a stupid name) isn’t any better than any other mclaren lookswise, ordinary at best, geeky and butt ugly at most IMO. Looks like a frog...
720S finally run on track tires. Trofeo R, 3s quicker than Corsa, .4s quicker than Pista, 5s slower than Senna. Heck of a time for a standard model car. Can get this cars for like less than $250K now. No better bang for buck in the exotic market.
The 720s is amazing. And I agree after the rapid depreciation its a complete bargain compared to almost anything else.
They’re also sub 9sec quarter cars with slight mods now which is surreal. I don’t see $30k/year as abnormal depreciation when it comes to cars in this category, certainly no different than my 488... but maybe the focus is on the nosebleed sticker cars with the overpriced carbon and paint. It’s certainly no different than most V12 Ferrari’s! One thing I can say as a 720 owner is my experience in purchasing and owning it has been completely opposite to some of the bitchy YouTube videos. Aside from scheduled annual services my car has only been in twice, and both times McLaren retrieved and returned it in a trailer and the minor issues were solved. The car has performed superbly and it’s been an absolute pleasure to own.
Live stream unveiling due to cancelled Geneva Motor Show. Others will soon follow. https://www.motor1.com/news/401492/mclarent-long-tail-march-reveal/ .
Looks ugly from the rear, front is ok. It's 80kg lighter than the 720s which is impressive given how light 720s already is. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here's better pics from the config. Not sure if that roof scoop is photoshopped or not. It doesn't show up in the little thumbnails on the side of the image and it also doesn't look like it connects to anything. Maybe they just didn't render it right in the configurator.
