McLaren's view of what a F1 circuit will look like in year 2050

Ramps that would make a ground effects car fly. It could be done.

Full grandstands... Mmmmm... ain't gonna happen.

 

In 2050, the drivers will be drone pilots. Spectators at the track can watch with their own eyes, giant video screens, and with VR glasses that puts you in the cockpit of your favorite team.

 

So basically a spec series ..with Macca supplying a lot of the bits n pieces.

They could bring this forward a few decades and maybe F1 would survive using current tracks ,otherwise the future is very definately F Eeeeuuuwwww a battle of computers.

 

Make sence. Really Mac giving us their view of How F1 looks in 30 years.

They are Really the team to make that call.....
As they still seem to have No f***ng clue on What they will do next year.

My advise to them is to focus on their OWN team, seems hard enough to get a clear vision for that for Tomorrow.

Well, if I make it into my nineties, I'll find out. But frankly, the illustration looks ridiculous. The article, however, does make some good points. Cars capable of 500 kph on much longer tracks does sound interesting. But let's not have rapid altitude changes that would launch the cars into the bay.

 

By 2050 the human race will be living in caves made from the ruins of our cities and F1 will be more like Mad Max. The races will bring back the co-driver/navigator who will be in charge of passing maneuvers and using drones to attack other cars. The trophies will be living grid girls. And the owner of F1 will again be Bernie...or at least his brain, now transplanted into the body of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. The teams will be owned by the remnants of various countries...Northern Ireland...Venezuela...Mongolia...Panama...Israel...and Trumpaloma (formerly Ferrari/Italy and now owned by Ivanka). The only hybrids will be the drivers, created by gene splitting with other species to make them smaller and lighter.

 

... and Mclaren will still suck!

Delusional, fantasy nonsense!

McLaren would be far better off investing their money into their 2019/2020 designs/campaigns, rather than dreaming of what might (or might not) be in 30 years time.

Frankly, there are plenty of Playstation/Xbox/computer games that already feature these sort of fantasy, future cars, so what have they really spent their money on?

As with most of McLaren's recent efforts, it's just another complete waste of everybody's time!
