McQueen's Machines Car Show

Shoot, this is just right up the street from me. They just opened up a high end plaza at Boys republic. I will call the organizer tomorrow to get more info.

 

Spoke with Ron this morning, so here is the scoop.

$20 to display a car, $10 per passenger in the car, $10 Entrance fee as spectator. All in effort to help Boys Republic.

Staging at 7:00am – until 2:00pm, cars on display are not allowed to leave before 2:00pm

There will be a raffle for McQueen items, like Lemans jacket, hats etc. Matt Stone will be on site to autograph his book “McQueen’s Machines”

The show will consists of variety of cars from different local car clubs, from vintage American muscle car, to German Porsches and hopefully we can have some representative of Italians too.

So far there are only 10 spots opening for Ferraris, count me in as one for display, so there are only 9 spots left. Anyone who is interested please let me know so I can reserve a spot for you.

Even though the show starts at 7:00am, but Ron does recommend spectators to show up at 9:00am instead.

couple guys are meeting at the SGV Cars and Coffee before hand and caravan to Chino Hills afterward at 9ish.

There are 13 spots now reserved for Ferraris, you can show up at any time to display your car. But the spaces are first come first serve, 300+ cars are expected to show up. Very flexible hours, you can also leave early.

I will be showing up at around 7:00am, if anyone is interested I would be glad to meet them somewhere in Chino hills and to drive in together.

 

once we put up the cars from tonights hot rod cruise we're draggin out the old faithful Testarossa for this event.. once its over we head down to the RM Auction at Joe's Garage to see if theres any (highly doubtful) bargains to be had,see old friends and try to get a good spot for monterey!!!!thankfully we decided to not enter anything for sundays BH councours.....one can only have so many car events to attend in a weekend before the girlfriend starts to get *****y,the only one she would want to attend would be BH and theres no way im letting her anywhere near rodeo drive shops where she can use those car show things against me!!

 

Looking forward to meet you in person. It should be a fun event, there are many rare cars showing up in addition to McQueen's machines.

 

I was at Joe's Garage this evening. Some real beautiful and special cars. Sunday should be great too!

 

Well organized show. I did think it was a little weak with McQueen's cars and motorcycles. 3 cars and 3 motorcycles. There was an excellent selection of non-McQueen 356 Porches plus other cars similar to what he was known to drive.

It was very nice to meet ferrari sulla pellicola (Black horse media), Eric (Kruger), and David today, glad to put a face with the name.

There were tons of Porsche there, now I know for sure I have a complete change of heart. Not a single Porsche from today gave me the slightest excitement.

Thanks every one, Robin, Black Horse. Good times. I hope they did well with this event. Robin nice pics bud. Had a great time, got burnt, but have to hang out more often. David go for the 430. RM if ya ever need a "IceBurg Blue" for a movie let me know. (Look at me im such a whore)

The real brew starts this Sat at my house... I have to work on a Ruf 911 turbo this weekend, and afterward I will be throwing on something good on the grill. Hopefully Eric will bring the brew, but in either case my wine cooler is fully stocked. Open invitation if anyone wants to join the fun and talk about pistons.
