If he's not happy there's no reason to drop $50K-$100K of his own cash on the last two races. There are plenty of guys who pay big money just to click off laps without the talent or interest to fight for positions. He's a pretty good shoe & evidently doesn't want to piss away his cash for a glorified track day with no satisfaction after the checkered flag.
Here's the latest.......http://www.grand-am.com/News/GA_News/tabid/141/Article/50642/glen-subplot-pits-brother-against-brother-father-against-son.aspx Bye bye Enzo, hello Jordan T. Kinda like an afternoon soap- "As the Wheels Turn". or "Trackdays of our Lives".
Potolicchio's money comes from the Chavez backed Venezuelan government so maybe there is some funding problems stewing there. They are a close 2nd in points and the Ganassi team ahead of them does NOT run the high downforce Corvette chassis so they are on equal footing. Something sounds fishy here...
I think it has more to do with the Indy incident than the rules on the Riley vs. the Corvette. haven't heard of any money issues with Uncle Hugo, but the problem with socialism is eventually you run out of other people's money
Let's see, I think I've got this all figured out. In New Jersey, home to alot of Italians, Ferrari wins in GT. At Belle Isle, Camaro wins in GT, within view of GM headquarters. At Mazda Raceway, an RX8 wins in GT. If Renault had an entry at Montreal they would have won there. Still trying to figure out the BMW/Porsche angle though.
If you're suggesting what I think you're suggesting how dare you blasphemy the good name of GrandAM/ NASCAR for, of all things, race fixing! Well, I never...! To placate Porsche and BMW, perhaps they'll schedule races in Stuttgart and Munich next year? BHW
Looking over the entry list for next Saturday's finale at Lime Rock ( BMW's home track btw.) and surprise, Turner is bringing out a second BMW in GT with Will T. behind the wheel. Hmm, if I were a betting man... Anyway, BMW should win the DP crown there unless the 01 trips over itself. My question is with Will Turner behind the wheel, who is going to keep an eye on the Turner Girls? . Well, we could leave that job up to Boris Said and Emil Assentato except maybe THIS time they won't get caught by the SPEED cameras like they did a few races ago looking like 2 deer-in-the-headlights. Older men trying to woo females young enough to be their Grandaughters, HILARIOUS. Should be fun!!
Well, Grand Am won't be nearly as NOISY in 2013 http://auto-racing.speedtv.com/article/grand-am-mazda-says-farewell-to-rx-8/ . Love em or hate em the RX8's were always entertaining. The noise, the flames, the 4 doors . A sad day here ( '06 Velocity Red Rx8 6-speed ). All good things must come to an end I guess.
