    I'll make it to the Dragon someday, but on the 2nd I'll be at the Georgia Tech car show (and there's another car show the next day!).

    The answer is: BOTH!

    I, and 12 others, had a lot of fun on Saturday negotiating The Snake, which is what some call the stretch of GA-180 between Suches and Vogel State Park in north Georgia. Then we traveled the Richard Russell Highway, which has some pretty good swoops as well. The Dragon isn't the only super sports-car road around!

    Just so everyone is cool on this...

    This is a low-speed Ferrari drive. Our group has a tendancy to get a little crazy. Call me a wuss, call me a lame "old guy" or whatever... I don't give a rat's arse. This is designed as, and will remain, a low speed tour... not some testosterone festival.

    Speed is reserved for our VIR track day, with insructors and a controlled environment. Got it?

    The picture below is an example of what happened the last time we met. The images and memory is still pretty vivid for me. We're lucky everyone survived, and this coming summer MUST be safer for everyone.

    Killboy, post the pics of the yellow Challenge that was there Jan 1 and the following week. Nobody drives more than "DIVORCE MAN!" You too can be divorced if you drive as much as I have. By the way, I could have had a beautiful F40 or maybe even an F50. Look at what I ended up with...Poor hearing among other things

    Some are leaving Asheville at 8:30, however, others may be there much earlier to take advantage of clear roads, arriving around 8:00.

    Once we get there it won't be too hard to find us........most people out there are very friendly and they'll let you know if they've seen us around or not. There is a small lodge right where 28 runs into 129 or there is an overlook farther down. There are really only a couple of places to pull off. If we leave asheville by 8 we'll show up around 9:30ish PM me and I'll give you my cell# even though it won't work out at the dragon.

    Ken -

    You don't want those rims for 2 reasons:

    1. Every one is cracked and bent.
    2. Insurance company took the whole car... haven't seen it since December.

    The driver does have a new (to him) 550 though!

    There are too many events on the Gap! East Tennessee Riders are doin' the Gap on Sunday the 3rd. I am committed to doing that ride, but I'll see if my wife wants to take the TR out on Saturday. If so, watch for a black TR mit Tubi coming up the TN side.
