Ferrari meet in Laval with 60 cars? Thanks for bringing this up.
When you said 60 cars , do you mean 60 Ferrari or 60 cars (Ferrari, Porsche..etc)?
I will try to be there.

I doubt there will be 60 Ferraris, the club's membership is less than that.
    Am I correct Bernie. LOL

No, since I don't belong to Luigi's club. Although I've been asked on a few occassions to join by both Luigi and some of his members, I fail to see what justifies a 300$ (per year) membership fee.
    Thank you.
Are you sure that was me? I rarely take the Decarie Expressway and seldom push hard...at least not in city traffic.

    Cheers!

i guess it was you and it wasnt decarie maybe, i dont remember and it was more like a nice downshift and a redline and then shift again, it sounded good. If it was nice car, didnt know 308 sounded that good.

THere is a 348 spyder in my family as well, he pushes it hard, hes done 260 kmh in that thing, it was fun. You should come anyway, you dont need to park with them, just park in front of my store, they are at the back of theparking lot, this way youll enjoy the show

Just as I expected, only 21 cars showed up. I just don't get it.....some of these F-Car owners won't even take their cars out for a great cause (LEUCAN Foundation) and especially on a beautiful day like today. Oh BTW, God forbid if any drivers/owners revved their engines past 4000 rpm. BORING !!!!!

The security was unbeleivable, maybe 50 in all, almost out-numbering the spectators. PLEASA YOU TOUCHA MY FERRARI I BREAKA YOU FINGERS...
When people come to these events, they expect to see the cars upclose. As an owner of a Ferrari, there is nothing that I enjoy more than people being able to take a good look and answering their questions. The most rewarding part of all is the smile on the kids faces. These are dream cars and I am still dreaming and I still drool every time I see an exotic.

A non-member spectator Ferrari owner managed the get by the security and parked in the V.I.P. area (error by security) he figure a Ferrari...OK let him in. Apparently he was asked to remove his 360 because it was distracting the spectators and the club members.
    GET REAL!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Bernie, BTW membership is still closed. A couple of the board of directors ran into me at lunch and were wondering what the hell I was doing there. A non-member from another Ferarri Club at their event in the V.I.P. area and the buzz started. FYI, I was there with friends that have a son waiting for his ride in the F-Car.

Hey Guys, Don't forget next Sunday. Crescent Street. Ferrari Dream Drive.

John T, were you there today?

    Was I right, huh?
That's Luigi's doing!! Basically he's brainwashed all the members to put as to put as little mileage, wear and tear on the car as possible.
I think you and I are the only ones in this city that share that dogma!!!!!?
Gee, what a surprise!!!! What puzzles me is that right now they're worried that the other F-Car clubs (notably the Qc chapter of FCA) in Montreal are going to overshadow them, and obviously the only way any club is to survive, is through new memberships. This is the only breed I know that is threatened by extinction, from within. And le me be frank, the day the old-man passes on, that club will be as relevant as a referee at a wresling match.
I guess that's open to FCA members only?

    Yes I was there..
And yeah there was 21 Ferrari that showed up. On the 9 Ferrari that didn't came do you have any idea what are they driving? I suppose some 360 owners because they was no 360. By the way I wasn't surprise the yellow 512 BB Koenig didn't came.

Tony or Bernie...have you guys ever went inside the Luigi Ferrari Club building on Henri-Bourassa? I did and its quite impressive to see the Ferrari they have but as you said they're garage queen. Example... When I went I saw a very rare silver Testarossa. But has that car ever been driven on the roads of Montreal?

Reason is simple...Luigi never sold any 360's
I was there about 2 weeks ago. Luigi wouldn't let my wife and I leave. His new garage on HB is really gorgeous. BTW, if you do go again, look carefully, there are 7 pictures of my wife (taken in various F-cars at his previous garage) hanging on his walls.

The Testarossa has been at his shop for many years and I had the chance to drive it briefly in 98' at one of his outings. Luigi had the interior modified to his liking because he felt that the original interiors in TR's were bland. That Testarossa has seen some Montreal roads, however Luigi would take the car out mostly for exhibits or club outings. Oh yeah, I almost forgot...it's for sale. He offered it to me the last time I was there, but he was asking more than twice what it's worth.

Ah thats why there wasn't any 360. But how come when Luigi Ferrari club of Quebec hosted the Ferrari parade on Peel street at the F1 grand prix week-end there was a 360 Spider and 360 CS on display?
Don't worry I won't be returning to his shop but I would sure like to see those photos on the wall. When I went there last time they was that black Testarossa outside at the back with Luigi and and the owner. So here is how I got in. ...Luigi had forgotten something inside his shop so he goes to get it and then I'm speaking to the owner and he tells me I can go take a look inside but no pics allowed. So I go in and I was very impressed and then I see Luigi coming back and he looked confused. Then he said something to the owner of the TR and looked a bit mad. (no big deal)

Anyway I have to say Luigi DID open the hood to show me the flat-12 engine of the TR. (that was nice)

the show was pretty good, the guys in the 355 gts smoked his clutch pretty bad, but it was great to hear all these cars rip it up. I followed them on the highway and that silver viper was drifting through the on ramps, LOL and this blue mazda 3 almost smashed into the 355 what a dork. LOL

That parking lot is huge, i'm going to try and organize a meet there for all montreal enthusiasts, it will be fun.
John T, what the hell do you look like? i might have seen you, i was there with my girlfriend.

I believe that the event on Peel street is no longer a Luigi exclusive, and is open to all Ferrari's. They are however, the only group that gets a police escort from the shop to Peel street.

As for the 360, let me quote Luigi: "Brutta!!! Mi sembra un cassa da morto!!!"

    Bernie,

It has never, ever been (Peel Street Event) a Luigi exclusive, but the club would have you believe that is a RSVP event. Peel street event is sponsored by Alexandre's RestoBar located on Peel street and anyone with an exotic is more than welcomed. There is no business person in the right mind that will turn away business.

Like you said yesterday, how much longer can the club exist if they don't accept new members. Look at all the members that have left to join FCA Quebec chapter, last count, is over 250 members and this chapter is only
3-4 years old. Membership is only $85.00usd.

BTW, a friend and I continue to call them asking to sign up for membership(just to bust their chops). And still no one ever returns our calls. LOL
