Thanks! That was a day that I'll never forget, I just got my licence that week and Scott let me drive his F430 in the parking lot. Needless to say not a lot of people can say the first car they ever drove with their licence was a Ferrari
At Mosport. Ferrari has the track on June 6th and July 18th this year for those who are intrested. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I will second that! Thanks Sam for filling in some of the details. Saw a red Boxer for sale in Toronto many years ago. It was claimed that Wayne G was the previous owner at that time. That's where the idea that he had a Boxer came from. In the 70's and early 80's Canada was in the unique position of having Boxer models that did not have all the FED stuff like side marker lights and ugly bumpers; that had to be hung on the USA registered cars. One Euro GT/4 BB is still here after all these years and mostly stock to. However it is not on the road anymore. It could probably benefit from one of those fancy fuse blocks you are building. A great service, that project of yours! CH
I think the Euro GT/4 BB you're talking about changed hands recently. It is white/black and was the 1975 Montreal Show Car. You'll see it back on the road soon hopefully.
I love to join you folks in May 12 but I actually can't confirm at this point since I should have something scheduled on that day will keep you all posted when it comes closer.
Which track and which club are you going with ? I want to be on track for fun too but a bit nervous about that for no insurance coverage !
Andruet did you pry it loose?!? maybe you mean...white/black as in white with a black interior or just black below the belt line and the interior to? The one I am thinking of is an early 18000 car. A rare car and always Canadian, very neat to have that ONE. It was a big hit in the USA to as no Boxer was legal there at that time. Probably the same one...Thanks CH
There is a pic of an ontario boxer in the boxer section, its white and if its the one I think it is I know where it is. Its in need of a restoration.
yes, thats what i meant. Im assuming then its the same one i saw, how many white ones can there possibly be? To say that car is original is accurate. Nothing 200 grand couldnt fix...lol !!
going through avatars I see? I was sick of the black thing anyway, maybe your glistening bald head would be a good choice.
yes, an original canadian bb. It has not been molested and is complete with all books and tools etc, etc. Most of the car is original paint! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks Rock for posting the pic of the BB and is that my old Dino GTS in the background (the last Cdn Dino made)?
Rock thank you for sharing the picture of the white 365 GT/4 BB. I have not seen that car for over 30 years! It was one of two Boxers imported under the guise of 'cold weather testing' here in Canada. It had the personal plate 'YSM001' back then. The second Boxer that arrived was dark blue. In 1976 both cars were offered for sale in the Toronto Globe. The asking price back then was $40,000 for a Boxer. The cars were actually leased eventually and had to be returned to the dealer YSM. They could not be resold in Canada at that time. The white car seems to have led a pampered life compared to the blue car. The blue car met up with a dump truck and was never the same after that accident. It was fixed and then resold but soon came back; for a full refund as the car was undriveable. The car was fixed again. There was an arrangement and Bill P got a new paint booth and the blue boxer became the maroon boxer for the new owner. That owner then sold the car to buy a red/black 'glass Euro 308 GTB. CH
John you lazy bastard! I'm 5 mins south of you -- how about I come by sometime next week when the weather clears up. We'll wash the cars and take 'em for a spirited run in the country. Clear out the cobwebs and all that
Good day CH, You are welcome! As to the whole story of Wayne G having a BB... who knows... I believe that Peter Puck's BB was not sold here in Edm and given his business style, perhaps he shipped it out East and "marketed" it as a Wayne G's car? Again, who knows. Thanks for the kudos on the fuse blocks. Indeed, it is a lot of work designing/testing the blocks and co-ordinating with the various assembly houses trying to keep the market price in check. Adding to this, my desire to have the best designed block I can build doesn't help. I have changed the base design 5 times already! However, I think I have addressed all of the mechanical issues that were bothering me. As for the effort, well, I like to do things properly and correctly regardless of the time it takes. I am sure that I, too, will benefit (and I have already) from other people's efforts to document parts/procedures/etc on these cars! Have a great Easter! Cheers, Sam
Good day Hubee, Thanks for the Kudos! My BB is not in too bad of a condition considering it is a 1977... and that it was neglected for several years prior to me purchasing it. I still have a lot to do on it, but it is a nice road (forgive the pun) to be on. Have a great Easter! Cheers, Sam
