First practice just finished: Luzzi - 1:25.967 de la Rosa - 1:26.480 Zonta - 1:27.265 JPM - 1:27.425 DC - 1:27.573 Massa - 1:27.971 Webber - 1:28.269 Trulli - 1:28.366 Button - 1:28.632 Klien - 1:28.834 Heidfield - 1:29.172 RB - 1:29.277 RS - 1:29.285 JV - 1:29.332 Doornbos - 1:29.370 Sato - 1:31.364 Monteiro - 1:32.348 Karthikeyan - 1:38.175 Second practice should be pretty good too. I think Luizzi should be one of the drivers and not a tester! Carol
No lap times recorded for: Kimi - 1 lap MS - 3 laps Fischella - 2 laps Alonso - 2 laps afterall, it's just practice and who knows exactly what they are testing and what "mind games" may being played Minardi didn't run first practice Carol
I was following the practice 1 on F1.com. (live timing) No much going on except Liuzzi, De la Rosa and Zonta putting on a show. Liuzzi was flying... Can't wait for practice 2! I will be able to see it on speed tv.
Hate the new 2 race per engine and one race per tyre rules ... basically it means very little running time during the practice sessions as everyone is being cautious about their reliability. Pity people who paid good money to go to the track to see the big guns all do 5 laps or less. This confirms it ... I am not wasting my money this year around to see a race live. All the money spent and only see a max of 15 laps from my favorite drivers. Hope you are happy Mr. Max Mosley
Yes it is tomorrow night. The laptimes you see on top of the page is from practice #1. Practice #2 starts in 2 minutes.
I thought they only had to use the 'race' engine for qualifying and racing ... thus they could use whatever they like for these practice sessions. Anyway ... the top guys never do much track time in these practice sessions ... even back in the Senna days. Maybe you should get a WC point for topping any track session ... that would make it interesting Pete
JPM has stuck it to KR so far ... less laps and faster!!! EDIT: KR went out and one, against JPM ... hehehe, I love this inter team battles! Pete

I would say there are still going to be surprises, let's see how they qualify. Have they made tire choices yet? This tire business seems still too complicated to digest.
Oh wait: New Max pronouncement: They'll be gray -- as in granite. And they have to push them with their feet, a la Fred Flintstone. ("Durn Engeenears -- I'll slow those cars down yet!")
