I drove the 037 at Adelaide, Gerry the Stratos and one session in the 308. It's painted as a Grp4 but was in fact an IMSA race car in period. https://www.instagram.com/p/C4xQd_kPHmp/?igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==
Far out, was my fav from the day. I know everyone would say things like the Lancia’s but something about seeing a Ferrari rally car is special.
The 037 is the best handling gravel surface car I've ever driven. On tarmac it has more grip than power, so it's not that entertaining. Always an occasion to drive, with the supercharger screaming 6 inches behind your head.
Does it come to Vic for the rally event each year or was it a one time thing? I’ll definitely be going next year
Some more pics. Most beautiful 512bb i’ve ever laid my eyes on, owned by Robert Marro with a very extensive Ferrari collection. Spoken to him a few times. Also a beautiful blue mazda with some other thing in the background Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Rob Mc’s old car, then sold to Bevan. Was a continual Concourse champion for years before Bevan bought it. My favorite Boxer. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I spent a lot of good money on it sorted out issues . And NOT a story car or one that had its speedo played with or crash ! Can’t blame you. You’re more than welcome to come down to MV by the way, need some more classic cars to show up the new supercars.
TBH I'm a driver not into the coffee and cake days , much prefer 4/5 day drives with mates over the remainder of this year I'll do over 12,000kms of driving in that and my 911 .
Everyday ,have you driven a BB? I grew up with E-types ,I admire that small Coventry business and what it achieved after the flattening of Coventry by the Germans in WW2 and how within a few years they became a major exporter and won Le-Mans many times . Image Unavailable, Please Login
No. But I’d like to. At least the engine is in the right place and they look superb. I grew up with an LJ Torana and a VC Commodore. I admire the blokes in Elizabeth who built it, after migrating here as ten pound Poms and getting off their arse and doing something rather than going straight on welfare like 90% of the current immigrants do. Do I think those cars are better than a Ferrari?
its successor, the testarossa, is one of the very few cars I’d swap my 355 for. I don’t care how bad or unwieldy they are to drive, or how expensive they are to repair, they are just the tits. a minty one would be the perfect stablemate to my v8.
