I was in Charleston around Memorial Day and I received the attached present. My 280sl was parked on Sullivan's Island, Sunday night: some a$$#0!3 backed into it (twice as reported by a witness) then obviously left... My insurance should cover it, but it will be a pain anyway to start over with bodyshops, restoration, etc... I wanted to post pictures before, but I was so frustrated I parked the car in the garage and haven't looked at it for a week. Lesson #1: it's better to park your car where you can see it. Lesson #2: even for a parking hit and run don't move your car before calling the police: it just gives them an excuse not to do anything about it...
