I don't get on the forum much anymore since selling my 355. Although tonight I found myself lurking around and really started to miss the old girl, so of course that gets me to looking at pictures of her and reminiscing. Sure she gave me a bit of grief from time to time but for the most part she was just amazing and always brought a smile to my face. When I had my 355 I thought the 458 was better looking and would make a nice substitute. Now that I have neither I don't think any car will be able to replace her. Sure a 458 or 430 will smoke her in speed but they can't make up for her in personality.
Guys if you don't have to sell your 355 for financial or family reasons keep her forever, there is nothing else that compares.

I hope my girls new owner loves her the way I did or maybe even still do...

I was contemplating trading in my 355 towards the purchase of a Vantage V8. ...then a wave of reason washed over me. I bought the 355 when I was 30. I plan to keep it forever.

I've never, ever heard an old guy say "Man...I'm glad I sold my Ferrari (or XXXX cool car)30 years ago!"

Right, and I am so glad I could get mine now at 47. I don't want to be a gray haired guy in a Ferrari unless I've owned one for many years! At least now I'm fit and limber enough to enjoy it. :D

    Thanks for the cautionary tale.

I'm at a point where I need to sell one or both of my 2-seaters and buy something that will hold at least 3 people. I was leaning toward selling both and buying a nice, newer 911. The more I think about having to sell the 355, the more I'm leaning toward a 2-car solution. For the moment, the plan is to keep the 355 and add a C63 AMG (they're dirt cheap).

Glad to see you stopped by. Are you still making carbon fiber parts?

Good to hear from you Erick. Anytime you find yourself in SoCal, there's a F355 in my garage that you're welcome to take out. Maybe not a cure-all, but it may make the separation anxiety a bit easier to take.

Great post. Makes me realize even more that I bought the right car from the right guy.

If it makes you feel any better, she has a nice new yellow interior custom cover and gets taken out every week for a leg stretch. Weather here has been very cooperative.

I think I mentioned it, but the new tag is '2 GUILTY'. I'll try and post some pics soon.

Steve, I'm glad your taking good care of her. Just remember she likes to be driven hard and fast.
    I like the tag' ;)
