Great show and VERY nice people! Weather was hot, but that's a price we happily pay to live here in the South with good barbeque, friendly folks, and beautiful southern belles!

Show featured a BEAUTIFUL, rare (as in only one in the world, I heard) ex-Ralph Lauren, alloy 275 GTB 4-cam with external fuel filler door (apparently this is a big deal). Also a very neat little Bandini, several 360/430's, several Testarossas, a very clean Coutach, nice Gallardo, awesome Ford GT, Stunning Aston Martin, several very well kept 308/328's, a very nice 308GT4, an assortment of Lotuses (Loti?), as well as several nice Porsches, Corvettes, and Fiats. One young fellow was particularly interested in the Mondial (not sure why....) and taking lots of pictures, and it made his day when I asked him if he wanted to sit in it to have his picture taken. I was in his same shoes just a few short years ago!

Anyway, unlike Ado4wd, I took a LOT of pictures, here are a few:

I know what you mean! As the day wore on it got harder and harder to get ANY pictures without several folks in the way. Luckily we got there early to get the car registered, before many people got there. Unluckily, that meant about 3 extra hours to sweat off those extra pounds we had put on at the Rendevous the night before! The show was very well attended, so clear photo ops were few and far between later in the day.

What was everyone's vote for favorite car? I was torn between the Bandini and, of course, the 275 GTB. I also really liked the Alfa Romeo Montreal.

Yes you did. Interesting car. I chatted with the owner for a little while about it. He said it was caught up in a bankruptcy and sat in a garage on blocks until three years ago. It sat there without an engine and this guy had it restored (although it was a zero miles car). He said that the interior was in perfect shape and all that had to be done was paint work. It even has the original tires on it. Beautiful car.
