Hi, Just wondering if anyone knows whether the late Meraks definately had solid exhaust valves as rumoured or did they all have sodium filled valves all the way through to the end of production? If they did change, any idea of from which chassis number / year they were introduced. I may be playing Russian roulette with my car still as the engine is still original Julian
Good luck penning this down. Best I can tell it's a tall tale. US spec 1980 SS #2666 had sodium filled valves. I haven't checked my other car #2680 yet. It's parked for now.

I asked the factory, they say that there are no records of such change. IF it happened, then it was never documented.
