This is kinda funny: Lewis Hamilton says Mercedes is being 'extra warm' to Rosberg I don't think any racer likes losing... especially to his teammate all the time... ask Weber... but I think it's funny that Hamilton goes on record now for the second time hinting that Merc has to basically baby Nico to make him feel better about things. The last time was just a week ago when Ham said that they don't need to talk about the turn 1 incident but as a team they probably will need to get Nico's head back in the game (paraphrasing of course) Lewis is not an outright arrogant ******, but he does like these passive-aggressive games with Nico. It's kinda funny. Nico rarely helps himself or his perception with his behavior and seems to play right into Hammy's game.
Well, it's also perhaps because Lewis didn't get himself out of such games exactly with flying colors when he tried these with Jenson Button, did he? Remember - among other things - the tweet about the front wing at Spa 2012, when he was annihilated during the race by a supreme Jenson? Rgds
Elton has a particular way about him to be as annoying as possible at any given time. He doesn't even let Rosberg enjoy his win, he just has to **** all over it. Lewis, you won the title, you where the best this year in the best car, there is nothing to prove anymore this year. What is he possibly getting out of these statements? His legion of braindead followers to write cute messages to him on twitter (and no, I'm not willing to explain here to anyone who would qualify as a braindead follower)?
LH never coddled? LOL> He was after Spa 14. Every team does this in some form or fashion. Ferrari have been doing such with Kimi. Look at Arrivabene's comments about him overall.
Nico is just far too mentally weak to win a championship. Especially when someone as ruthless as Hamilton has the same car. Never going to happen with him and I think that fact has dawned on Mercedes.
1.) Thread title is wrong: it should say "Hamilton thinks Merc codding Nico´s fragile ego" as this is not necessarily the case just because Lewis says so 2.) After all they did to Rosberg after Spa they better do so...A good team boss does what is needed to get the best out of his driver, even if this is "codding the fragile ego". 3.) They backed up Hamilton all the time, no matter what he said or when he ignored orders or ran in front of the camera after internal meetings, so maybe Hamilton should not complain about that at alll
Coddling/Cradling fragile ego's is the norm in F1. This is not about LH for me at all. They all get this. From their team owners to their trainers. The only thing people dont do for them is wipe their backsides. Im sure that could be arranged LOL!!
I know that teams need to do it... of course they do since most of the guys are total prima donnas. I just find it amusing how Lewis talks about it and capitalizes on it to make Nico look like a big fragile baby. I'm not a super fan of either... I like them both okay. I just don't have strong feelings about Lewis like most here. Nico seems to irritate me more and more lately though. His pouting after his teammate clinches the WDC was off-putting but it's par for the course with him. Lewis is a master of getting in Nico's head it seems. This was just another example that I thought was kinda funny.
Exactly. Nico was actually interviewed in Mexico and they asked him to elaborate on the issues with Hamilton and his response was, "I'd prefer not to because that will only help Lewis". Seems like he finally realizes what is up - took long enough. Should have been obvious to him much earlier in the season IMHO.
Is it? It's a thread about how he has owned Nico mentally all year. Depends on your interpretation I think.
Not all year but not far off. Still a perfect subject for the "Hamilton v Rosberg Thread".....because another thread on this inflated subject (and Louis' inflated career) is one too many.....all IMO ofcourse
It's a poor reflection on Elton's fragile ego...the fact that he has to go out and tell anybody (with a press pass or twitter account) who will listen that he really should have won the race. IMO, his attempts to point out Nico's fragility only highlights his own.
Does anyone really think Elton would do better if it was Nico backed by the team so massively, that was winning, and allowed to push his way thru and ignore team orders when it suited him. No chance, he'd probably send the tech specs for the merc car to another team, or just put it on twitter
I'd say you would be absolutely right, Elton would melt. But then I'd get accused of being a hater again and I should learn of the talent he possesses. Wait...
Hahahaha, don't be so mean, you are allowed to have your own opinion Bas! you and I both now he has talent, unfortunately it's for whining!
