more i see of this car, the less impressed i am. maybe if it sets a record up the hill would be interesting but exhaust really sounds weak.
This car is way more capable than what we are seeing It was 4 electric motors. Each one probably producing around 300nm torque = 1200nm + ICE 500nm That is 1063hp 1700nm torque
Nürburgring Lap time incoming! https://www.instagram.com/p/CkvjiuGsI1p/?hl=fr It started with a dream. Now we're here. Are you ready for a new milestone? Time to witness something big that we all have been waiting for. Stay tuned for a challenge of the monumental kind — powered by one combustion engine and four electric motors, the hardest teamwork and the greatest trust.
Like the Valkyrie, another wonderful project in theory but very disappointing in the real life. Too ambitious or arrogant ?
Image Unavailable, Please Login 6:35.183 minutes! This was #AMGONE for the books. We're celebrating a record-breaking drive, a tremendous team effort and the #ONEandONLY new king of the Nürburgring-Nordschleife. It was a sunny day with light wind blowing and the Eifel asphalt still damp — typical of the season and less than ideal conditions. Against all odds, @maroengel and the team never gave up and beat the previous record for the demanding 20.832 kilometre track by a momentous eight seconds. Thank you for continuing to push the dream of the AMG ONE!
I just heard these won't be legal to drive on US roads and all service will have to be in Germany ? MDS
Agree. Out of the two I'd have the Valkyrie, but rather have neither. AMG One over promised and under delivered. 500kg heavier than promised. Massive front overhang means it'll be awful on the road. It wasn't ever going to sound great with that engine (subjective, I know), and it doesn't. Looks pretty cool though. So it's really only useful on track, but heavy...and track running costs will be eye watering. Want to go fast on track? Pretty damn sure a 992 Cup or 488 Challenge will beat the 'ring laptime convingcingly. Might as well buy either of those and spend the rest on a proper road based supercar...If new, GMA T33 or T50 anyone? Most incredible sound (genuinely sounds like a 90s F1 car), actually usable as a car and loads of storage space for trips, 700kg lighter, IMO better looking. No brainer.
T50 is a stunning car with its Cosworth V12 bar : A bland look and the three seaters position ( looks always awkward to my eyes) Just imagine a small Ferrari in size with the same type of engine, a manual gearbox and a more beautiful shape ? Dream car!
I just read Chris Harris' article about his track test with the amg ONE. Overall Mercedes failed to create the ultimate supercar: brake problems, engine connections and electronic systems not working properly, numerous electronic failures, reliability, understeer… His conclusion: exceptional cars are rarely good cars! He chose carefully his words to be the more neutral he can but can’t hide his deep feelings.
I really wish Ferrari would build something like this...light weight (<1250kg) with a small displacement V12 or even an NA V8 as a last of the last.. I do like 3 seaters. The T50 I don't like the look of the fan but that's it. T33 is perfect for me.
I was really pissed they wouldn’t sell me one as I wasn’t worthy enough lol . Now I am very happy they didn’t , I think it is the most boring and dullest hypercar amongst its peers
Apparently its very noisy car But chris harris drove it and it had many issues still Doesnt seem sorted
Meanwhile the GMA cars are basically on schedule and t50 deliveries second half of year. Much simpler tech. They will be legends for sure. Imagine the T50 trounces these crazy new tech driven supercars on track? Clearly on the street it won’t be close. The others aren’t usable in the real world. What the hells the point of that?
