they're a marketing company, I'm surprised they haven't pulled out of F1 by now seeing as how the stage has shown more Merc BBQs than anything else Why don't they put that engine in another team as well so we can see twice as many weenie roasts
This is great for real Ferrari fans....They should go for 30,000 next then 40,000 and then 50,000... keep wasting your resources and time on stupid crap... go Mercedes go!
The last part of that article is classic!!!! "Now if only the McLaren Mercedes F1 team could actually win a race..." LMAO!!!!!
IMHO...these two companies are the first to announce publically that they have cracked 20k rpms, but I really doubt they were first. Cosworth...yes it's possible they were truly first, but it's so hard to say for sure. Many other F1 teams wouldn't be in a hurry to divulge everything they are capable of. I do recall seeing some of the old V-10s hitting 19k plus rpms. And I imagine a few of them cracked 20k but it just wasn't made public. I think Merc is using this as a marketing ploy or a way to say they are improving in F1. I hope so for their sake. And I totally agree with what KIRILL says....beating BMW is very important to Mercedes.
the car is a McLaren-Mercedes when it loses and a Mercedes-McLaren when it wins Merc should just put up or shut up, buy the team and put your nuts on the line like Toyota, Honda, Ferrari and Renault ...... they're hedging their bets, no kudos from me and who really cares if they beat BMW ? Losers are losers, the might of Merc or BMW are piss weak compared to either Ferrari or currently Renault in GP racing , a few more years in the wilderness and they will be off
