This looks promising... http://www.autoblog.com/2011/07/06/mercedes-benz-c63-black-series-arrives-fashionably-early/
As if God was my witness I saw two of those on a hauler this past Wendsday, I'm cereal!!! Heading north on 290 I spotted the hauler and saw just two Merc's on it and they both had the same rim's (just like those in the pics) and when I twisted my neck almost 180 degree's I saw the flares and thought wtf were those??? I guess someone in H-town need's too make a tour this weekend and verify if I just need new glasses or was it just a flashback with all entailed or am I right? I think I'm right.
Cocaine's a hell of a drug.... I'd buy one today if it was under $75k... I fear they will soften it and get rid of those amazing looking seats for the USA version. (Fingers Crossed)
I like it, but anyone who buys one new is a fool. Buy it after a year and a few thousand miles and save a ton. AMG's resale is horrid.
Ever driven one? The interior is horrific. Shiny black lacquered wood everywhere that looks dirty the second you get in he car.
Historically, AMG depreciation has been terrifying. I'm surprised, however, at how well the C63 is holding up. It seems to be at least as good as the M3 for resale.
The standard C63 feels much more special and is much more entertaining on the average road than an M3 IMO. Moreover, the M3's interior feels noticeably cheaper than the C63's (IMO at least). I must, however, say that the Audi S4 probably has the best interior in the category in terms of perceived quality. I've driven the E92 M3 extensively on the track during BMW M driving courses and it's certainly a very good car. On public roads, however, it feels very "normal" when driven at a reasonable pace. The C63, on the other hand, feels like a very special car in all circumstances. The engine is a true gem and it sounds fabulous. I suspect that the C63 Black Series will be a great enthusiast's car. P.S. Where I'm from, we have plenty of BMW (including brand new 7 series) and Audi taxis as well. In fact, I have seen a couple of Porsche Cayenne Diesel taxis as well. Therefore, diminishing a car or brand due to its links with taxis seems slightly unfair to me...
^LOLOLOL AMG finally lost it with this one... it's horrible keep the motor, throw out everything else about this one...
Wow, look at that! They both... I cannot believe this.. have four wheels! Can't Mercedes do anything original! Shiny Side Up! Bill
I see the Accord in the window line, that's about it. I like it though, the rear wheel looks odd for some reason.
I think the rear wheel looks too small in that expanse of rear bodywork. It doesn't help that the rear fender arches are so much wimpier than the fronts. The Cadillac CTS Coupe also suffers from the small looking rear wheel problem.
