Those new C6's (I assume they were C6's) are really cool. I got passed by one in early September in St. Louis.

Saw a Caddy XLR the other day. Nice, but not quite as impressive as it is in pictures. Was surprised to see how narrow the roof is where it meets the trunk. Quite nice.
Pretty nice car, just not as wild as the commercials like to show it! :)

Being carried down the highway by a semi. 8-10 of them in all different colors. It was neat-o.

I saw a yellow coupe on Com Ave in Boston. It did not look any better in person than it does in the pictures (imo). I think the back end is simply terrible; it looks way too retro and is not at all coherent with the sharp edges of the sides and front end of the car. On a plus note the paint had a nice deep gloss to it.

The yellow one is my least favorite color. Rear styling is ok, but yellow doesn't do the front end right, especially around the lights...

Yeah, they are good looking cars. I didn't like it in the beginning, but it looks really good on the road. I think it would look much better about an inch lower.

Just saw one at the local Chevy dealership, I agree, they look very nice. Although the one they had out front was kind of a purple color, I really like the open headlights and new rear. Whats funny is, the battery had died, and they couldnt open the car with the remote AND naturally they had lost the key. Soooo, they were blindly shoving anything they could find in the barely open window to unlock it, lol.

What is it with dealers losing keys. Everytime there is something I want to look at the keys can not be found.

THis guy owns a Scores here in town. Love the car, but it was so dirty and it looked like it allready had rust forming on the rotors.

The bouncer was being ****** and kept asking why I was taking "weird" pictures of the cars headlights and brakes. I wanted to punch him in his fat throat.

    Enjoy.

Ulgy. Anyone else seen them in person and think the same thing? I went to the dealership and looked at them in person and they look pretty funky. The back end looks pretty good, but the side and front view are terrible. The car sits too high above it tires. Needs to be about an inch lower to look right. Those headlights look weird. They bulge to far up and they hood drops down in the center. I thought this car looked great on Tv and in the mags but now that I have seen it in person I don 't like it. Anybody else?

    FUGLY.

i wanted to give it a chance but saw one at the golf course the other day. i couldn't believe how cheap the entire car looked - even beyond the interior which is always terrible. it's just not appealing at all, imo. the banal "for the money" qualifier doesn't even save this thing.

I bet if it was a Ferrari you'd love it. You can't really expect a $50,000 car to have all the build quality of a Porsche or F-car.

Your right. They have to save money somewhere when designing a world beating sprots car and the Vette does that in many ways. It's has a cheap feel all the way around. It's junky after just a few years. And it looks pretty wierd, but for the money nothing can touch it. That's where the extra 50 grand to buy a porsche goes. Styling, testing, engineering, refining and luxury appointments. Costs alot to do those things.

no, i wouldn't. i'm not even a fan of most fcars - i don't like brands, just the car. but it doesn't even have the build quality of a $30k G35. i'm in no way comparing it to an fcar or pcar. i just think everything about it is really ugly - headlights, pillars, rear end, interior, etc. JMO.

american cars will never have the quality and value packed into japenese cars. *maybe* one day...but not in the forseeable future. The G35 along with various Acura models are superb values compared to american and even german (bmw/mb) models.
To me the vettes headlights look similar to a 360's...(uh oh...start the flaming haha). The vette is a vast improvement over previous vettes but you're correct...very shy of porsche, etc...in build quality. I have a feeling this c6 will have less of a "cheap" feel even after a few years.

Rotors rust within 15 minutes of a car being washed.
I don't think this is a quality issue!!
