Hello to all fellow Ferrari lovers out there ! I have just received afew sets of the above from Tamiya just 2 days back, and have only limited sets for sale at US$ 550 which includes free shipping to any destination by registered airmail. Please email me at [email protected] for more details those interested in acquiring the first few sets available now !
$550 is a little expensive. Hobby Link Japan has them for $435.00 before shipping and they are a retail outlet.
Correct, but trust me there will be price adjustments when their stocks arrive. When I first place my order, they told me retail price was approx US$ 435.00....but when I paid for them...it was much more ! And for your info in the UK...some shops are asking British pounds 499.00 !!! But please also take note that I include free shipping for the price which is not a cheap option as it is by air and the cost of shipping for such a big item not to mention it's heavy is very expensive !
I am not a shop or dealer...but just bought extra sets as I feel this is a really nice model / kit to invest in as Tamiya already announced limited production numbers for this item !
I have one coming for myself as well. But I wonder what limited numbers and collectible really mean? Take the case of Tamiya's F50. Tamiya re-issued this model (in semi-assembled form) in Red and Yellow which forced the prices down on the orginal issue of th model. I've heard from one shop they only made 399 of the Enzo to coincide with the numbers of the real one. I find this hard to believe because I imagine the tooling to produce this model can't be cheap! Does anyone know how many Tamiya's going or already made of the Enzo? I only buy what I like, not for investment. If it goes up in price on the secondary market then that's a bonus to me!
Tamiya had to recall the first issue because the paint color was wrong shade of red. Check the first issue vs. the 2nd issue, 2nd issue has more correct shade. Tamiya was pretty pissed off having to recall and destroy them.

what shops have you seen these in? dio they have websites / email addresses? I have been emailing a Tamiya marketing employee here in the uk for ages, he notified me they had a meeting about it coming over in August, but i havent heard from him since..........
Our main U.S. distributor said they hit next week. We..as well as alot of other retail shops..should have them in stock in roughly 10 days
Best price I can find is $469 on pre-orders at e-hobby. Don't know if it will get cheaper. As far as I am aware, no one in the US has it yet.. http://www.ehobbies.com/tam23205.html
scratch that... we just checked with them a few hours ago...not only is the release delayed..but they raised their prices to us by adding an additional $77.- over the original wholesale price...nice
If only 300 are going to be made, I guess dealers can ask whatever price they want....and some of them actually get it...
