GM asked the admins at www.z06vette.com to remove this picture (though other pictures have not been contested). Apparently this pic was given to media and had some sort of "embargo" on it. It is not supposed to be out before the Detroit Auto Show debut of the Z06. Anyway, not too many GM execs on here, so here goes nothing: picture link http://www.fastdrive.org/news.php?extend.299 Image Unavailable, Please Login
I thought they said the body was supposed to be different than a normal vette.. oh well. I just dont like the nose
How about the new Z06 convert.!!! Yes I photoshopped it the other day. I love www.autospies.com Erik Image Unavailable, Please Login
no there not I work at a chevy dealership and they aren't coming out with a Z06 convert. I photoshopped it for fun. I actually like it a lot. Erik
Agreed. It would look much better in black. It will take away the common look. Are they still tossing around the Blue Devil ?
Why go down that road? You could also say why would anyone buy a 430. Ferrari (and Porsche) owners are not bang-for-the-buck types, they recognize the value that cannot be measured with a stopwatch. Gary
Very nice, I like it a lot. The sublte front intakes and changes to the car really add a lot to the aggressive stance!! Looking forward to seeing one in person!
True enough for loyal Porsche owners. You can't categorize a entire group by of buyers by one stereotype though. Ferrari has a *much* more inelastic demand curve that Porsche, (which the downturn in Boxster(and 996) sales proved well).
Forget it..I'm out of the Ferrari thing now..When I see what you can buy for 65k..500hp etc..and smoke ANYTHING Ferrari has to offer for 200k..What a frigging joke Ferrari's are. All flash..no substance. I will never purchase a new Ferrari aside from the 550. Ferrari's have become lunch for almost everything on the road. I lOve Ferrari and always will..but the horsepower and performace you get from cars costing less the half the price are looking more and more appealing everyday.
good point, having owned a 993 cab and a c5 conv vette at different times i can tell you the two different makes bring out very different responses form people.... i took a great of grief from non car lovers, which includes most of the population for owning the vette... i was "having an early mid life crises" or i must be dating an 18yo or i never grew up, or i was an overgrown red neck with a little extra cash... it was never ending....with the porsche, i was considered a worldly guy with fine taste in sports cars.... and i probably enjoyed driving the vette more than the 993, and i still love the c5s and i think the c6 and the nest z06 willbe great drives for the buck....but i really believe someone looking to buy the 997 will not even consider the vette... two different animals...
It looks horrible IMO. The front end with that hood scoop looks like it was inspired by a late 90s Camaro.
I was just watching the lasted episode of top gear and they tested the 575 GTC and it ran the same exact lap as the standard C6 corvette. How funny is that. All that talk of vietnamese suspension and V12 ferrari can't beat it. Don't get me wrong I love ferrari's to death regardless.
It's a GM vehicle...they come this way. In fact, aligned headlights is a SURE sign that it's been wrecked
They even did a awful run with the C6 on top gear. (Going off the track and spinning the tires to much.)
