I don't know what it is, but as soon as I started thumbing through the pictures, I can see "subtle" Porsche influence.

Sorry for you, but Sbarro made THREE of these cars, not one.

Just a normal Testarossa engine. In fact, the whole car is based on a Testarossa.

Interesting car. The designer certainly had a unique approach to delivering air to the engine.

The interior is, in a word, ass. I've seen nicer dashboards on arcade game units.

It's not a kit, but a complete rebuilt. If you're interested in it, you can always buy this car ......

I've always thought Franco was a crack addict, this is just further proof.

Imagine all the bugs you'll be picking out of your teeth because he forget to install a windscreen. Waste of a perfectly good TR.

Looks like absolute garbage. I can't believe someone would do that to a TR.

The question is; what WAS this guy thinking? And that price, what IS this guy thinking?

"Sbarro" as in Franco Sbarro. He has an automotive design school in the Netherlands IIRC. Do a search on his creations. Some are very wild and out there, and his concepts will not be on the market for decades. The hubless wheel, while not perfect, it is still an incredible step in a different path of design.

Not in the Netherlands, but in Switzerland (close to the border with France). They had their own website, but it seems to have disappeared. Anyway, Franco Sbarro is a real artist and a fantastic designer. Not only on cars, but on everything you can think of. Regarding cars, it's like with all design studies: you don't have to like them, but they are very important for the future of cars. And besides that, the students of his design school will each year make a new car, which will always be shown at the Geneva Show. Sbarro is always present, and always with "special" designs.
