in the late 90s early 2000s i went about 5 times, always enjoyed it staying at the Royal Hawaiian. Then a few days at the big island.last time i went,it was awful, due to cheap flights from the US,it was full of bogan overweight feral white Americans. We went last January with the kids - to Waikiki and Maui - and loved it. Numbers are down from the US mainland due to their economy but Aussies are everywhere. I drove the famed Road to Hana on Maui - one of the most amazing driving experiences I've had.
true, when i last went it was 2005 and there economy was strong, came back with chicken poxs and then got pneumonia. is that the road like a goat track at times?
family of 6 boys and 2 girls, half of them don't talk to the other half since dad died and other issues ..... it's why I live in QLD and they lived in Sydney, keep away from the fighting My brother who is the 2nd born is the best mechanic I have EVER seen , considering he is an IT wizard and it's a shame he will never get to fix or drive my car, love him, hate his wife, right bi*ch
It's similar - the goat track is in the northwest of Maui above the hotel strip of Kaanapali and I stupidly took my daughter to show her. It is insanely dangerous. Hana is all paved and is an incredible thrill with the best of the GOR and then 50 one lane bridges in 80km that you have give way on or bluff your way through. Here's the goat track... Hi Everyone , Vonny and I wish everyone in the Ferrari Club Australia and all the FerrariChat members a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. drive careful and stay safe guys.
I think it is the same with the vast majority of families. You can avoid them at any other time; but at Christmas the attendance is compulsory.
I love all my brothers and sisters but some of them have made some bad choices in partners ..... of course I seem to have made a bad choice a few times I may start drinking tomorrow heavily !!
Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and Happy Holidays to all you FnChatters (oops! forgot, no n in Ferrari...blush) out there...especially Rob and Terry who have been very entertaining this year. I have mostly avoided family this year after many great stouches over the years...can't say I miss it really Anyone know which is the best way to drive Canberra to Darwin post Christmas?? Ohhh the humanity! Ohh the flooding rains! Ohhh ohh what about accom!! :-( Should be an adventure though Cheers to All, Mick
