    Well, I finally did it. After months of deliberation I decided to trade my TR for this 1998 Diablo SV with a GT conversion. All the parts for the conversion are carbon fiber. There is still a little work to be done before I take delivery: front NACA ducts and rear bonett ducts will be body color, painted calipers, and a few other little things. Unfortunately with my call schedule and the holidays, I will not be able to pick up the car for about a month. It's gonna be a long month.

    Good for you. If your car arrives the way mine did from MC I, it will be flawlessly detailed, clean and ready to go. Congrats. I was wondering when that car would get sold. Too bad you live in a place with winter- maybe you can take a break, have it shipped south, and drive it for a few days before sending it back home to the ice ?

    Thanks for the comments. I certainly will post more pics when I get the car.

    Whart, I know what you mean about the condition of the car. This will be the third car I have purchased from MCI. I was able to see your car just before it was shipped last year when I went to pick up my TR. It was beautiful - my wife's favorite car in the whole place. As for winter, we don't get much of that down here. May get a little snow in Jan. but is usually gone in a day or so and they don't salt the roads.

    Holyyyy crappppppppp! I cannot belive that car is now gone! I'm so saddened by this, but at the same time: CONGRATULATIONS! That is one of the best Lambos I have seen. I'm an SV fan to the core, only becase GT and GTRs are asically unheard of. Ideal setup: SV/GT for the track, 6.0SE for the fun :cooL;

    I remember spotting it on DuPont for a while, always used to check out that car online once every few days.

    Great buy, now don't dissapoint! Get those pictures up ASAP once you take possession.

    I am going to leave them as they are. The front nose and side skirts are clear coated carbon fiber and really sets the car off nicely when seen in person. The spoiler was originally black and IMHO adds a nice contrast. I may eventually have it painted, but I wanted to see how it grows on me one I get to live with the car. BTW, it has a Tubi and I had the opportunity to rev the engine a little when I last went to see the car. The sound is absoutely incredible.

    IMO, leave the spoiler and front fascia as it is. It looks perfect.

    Congrats! That's an awesome car!

    To truly look like a GT, you should paint the triangle intakes on the hood and the intake on the roof. Those are both painted on the real GTs. Also the rear, lower spoiler or diffuser (whatever it's called) should be black or clear coated carbon fiber.

    wow, the exhaust pipes on that diablo looks like a twin set of bazookas. i know you mentioned the exhaust itself is Tubi -- are the tips the same (or similar) as those on the 6.0 or the Murcie?.. or are they Tubi tips?

    congrats. the car looks beautiful, btw

    Congrats on the car. There is someone here on FerrariChat that I know who lives near me, he came over the other day by my place saying that he bought this particular car. I can't wait to see him and ask him where is his new "Diablo GT", he even said delivery was right after Christmas... Anyway enjoy that awsome looking beast.

    beautiful car! My favorite Diablo of all time.
    I hope you'll consider bringing it to Memphis for our charity show benefiting Housing for Humanity.
    Enjoy.
