When changing the oil, are you supposed to remove the mesh oil filter every time as well? I have the FSM and couldn't find the answer. Changing my engine oil and transmission oil after 1,500 miles since my manual conversion (6 months) since I want to get under the car anyways to triple check everything. Also, do you replace the o-rings with new each time? Just wanted to ask.

    Thanks!

I am sure if you look at the WSM it will say it is part of the oil change procedure but IIMO i would baseline it once ( meaning clean it / replace it once if you are not original owner) and then clean/replace it every 3rd ( in your case based on the miles you put on - approx 7500 - 10000 k miles) ..this goes for both screen filters - trans and engine

Perfect. That's kind of what I was thinking. Not needed every single time and I just replaced them both with new during the manual swap.

If you remove the screen common sense would be to change the O rings.

Absolutely. I don’t have any here. One reason I was asking. I’ll deal with the screens next fluid change. Main thing is me just getting under the car now anyways and switching to Redline.

I'm sure you will figure it out but when you ask about changing a O rings makes me wonder.
