    Hey Folks,

    1st post on here after owning my 488GTB for a month or so. Not had many chances to drive it but had an issue on 2 occasions. Its very easy to hit the rev limiter and I noticed when I did so I got this error message on this display and the car hesitated for a few seconds. Is this normal when you bounce off the limiter (which I know I should not do but the speed at which it went round the dial caught me out), or is it indicative of a bigger problem? I have no messages saying it needs to go back to the dealer, and the message normally goes away after a few seconds.

    Normal.
    Just the engine protecting itself from over RPM.

    You must of gone well over for the message to light up.

    Keep an eye out at you LED's if you have them. The 488GTB has heaps of torque its not a N/A so short shifting is actually better.

    Thanks, I do have them..I had assumed they went green red yellow on the wheel but its just red and more red. I need to get more time in the car, only driven it a few times.

    Isn't the whole point of the limiter to keep you from going over at all? How would he have gone over?

    Yup, on the 488 they're all red; caught me by surprise as well, I was waiting for the shift to green/blue.

    Agree with you , dont suggest that you do it , if you keep your foot on the accelerator or dont change gear you will still see the rev go up.

    I guess thats what he did to get the code.

    Agree with the LED's , there is someone selling LED's with different colours.

    Seeing the change of colour with the corner of your eye is the best.

    That's why the F8 and going forward have different colour LED's.

    All red is stupid IMO
