MEXICO#422

I am searching for any info on where Maserati number422 was originated or was sold to the original owner . I aqiured the car from my father who purchased from the original owner in or about 1970 the last time that I rode in the car I was six years old. Ithas been inside storage since 1970 or early 1971 it has less than 30,000 original miles and is in incredible shape. It is in the process of being prepped for running. I have been told that the car was sold in usa from a car show in 68 or 69 but I am not sure the original owner was a wealthy man who gave the car his son who went to Carnigie Mellon university then when he came home with it for the summer the father took the car from him ans sold it to my father he did not think that the kid appreciated the car and enough so the story goes i would really like to find some history on this beutiful car it is in showroom condition been coverd and stored in a controlled envirement its whole life since 1970 in Barrington Illinois Thanks for any help with #422
