Looking forward to the next race now. Vettel has to find way to get it right before this season ends. Can Kimi get another win?? High altitude stress on the turbo units!! Always the party atmosphere for this race
I too am looking forward to this one now that the Ferraris have their speed back and Kimi nabbed a win. Will Vettel spin again?

Southern California news is reporting a possible hurricane forming that is expected to hit Mexico Tuesday/Wednesday. Hope that it loses strength not only for the race but for Mexico in general. Something to definitely keep an eye on the next few days.

On this day in '66 John Surtees won the MexicoGP in 1 of 5 Cooper-Maseratis in the race, 1 of them driven by local man Moisés Solana (pic), whose only GP it was that year. Cooper flew out an extra mechanic for him, a 19yo who'd never been abroad before. His name was Ron Dennis. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Correct me if I’m wrong. For the championship to go forward to Brazil Vettel needs to win and Hamilton has to finish 8th or worse?

1966 beginning of the 3 liter formula. The Brits lobbied for 3 liters, believing the FIA would never go for it and go with 2 liters, which they had engines available. The new rules, 3 liters over the old 1.5 liters. Caught the Brits by surprise. The Cooper/ Maserati was under powered and heavy. The Repco Brabham was the best package till the Cosworth DFV came along!
Excellent explanation, many thanks. The Maser looks like a whale, didn't the Repco use the Buick 215 aluminum block?
