I've been jonesing for a track day at Grattan for several months, so I finally decided to host my own. If you've never been to Grattan, it's about 2 miles long and is built like a great back road with plenty of elevation changes, challenging curves, and a nice straightaway. Unlike a good back road, you don't have to worry about speeding tickets.

It's on Friday, June 8th. Gates will open at 7:00, there will be a driver's meeting at 8:15, and lapping will run from 9am to 5pm.

There'll be an expert group, an intermediate group, and a novice group, with instructors available for the track newbies.

Roll bars on convertibles are encouraged but not required. So this is a great opportunity to flog that 348 or 355 spyder and see what it can do.

Cost is $150. I need sign-ups and payments in by 5/23 so I know if I've got enough participants to make it happen.

Click on my name to the above (^^^) to contact me for further details or if you have questions.

I'd love to see a bunch of you come out!

so can anyone run what you bring, do you have to be a SCCA member or something? Helmets required, a book "driving for dummies" in other words can a complete noob like me come and play.

    :)

Yep, anyone can come play. I'm essentially renting the track and anyone can came out and run (for $150, or course :) as long as their car is in good shape and they have a good helmet. There will be some instructors there to share some pointers with you, ride along, offer advice. All newbies will run in their own group so the faster drivers won't intimidate them.

Let me know if I can answer any other questions.
