If anyone is interested. Miami Vice is being re-run on the TV Land Channel. Not sure of all of the airing times. But it is on this Morning at 11:00AM, and again at Noon.

Funny you say that because I was watching MV on TV land last night. I agree that my memory of the show is better than the actual show. At the time it was originally aired it seemed so modern and cutting edge. Watching it now it seems very dated, but it's still great fun. I remember when I was a kid I was so enthralled by Crockett's black Daytona. It broke my heart when I found out it was a fake.

Amazingly enough in the past several months I have bought the first 4 seasons of 21 Jump Street on DVD and that show seems to have aged much better. Still I really enjoy both shows. They sure don't make great shows like those anymore.

I agree with D - I used to watch Miami Vice religiously back in the 80's, but I can't watch it now.

Happens to me all the time. Whether it is movies, TV, music, video games or an old love. Keep the memories but don't try to go back. It'll be a disappointment.

Yeah,it is kind of funny how it seems dated. Even the production quality of the shows are not as good as today. The Magnum P.I. DVD's are re mastered in Digital, and are very good quality. I don't know why they didn't do that with the Miami Vice series. They look kind of "Grainy",too. But, I enjoy watching them all. Bring back memories of what I was doing at that time in my life, and it was all good. Plus,I enjoy watching all of the old Detective type shows. Rockford Files, Columbo, Hart to Hart, ETC...

But I definitely cannot say that I would ever regret going back and watching these neat old shows. It is so much fun hearing the period Music. Seeing just the old cars from that day driving around in the background traffic scenes is neat. Let alone the Exotic Cars. And, lets not forget...."Pastelevision"...:)

Did anyone catch "Corvette Summer" on Speed lately? LOL! Now,talk about dated!...:) I had a Chevy Van back in the day. Mural on the side. But, it only had Shag carpet all over the whole back. It was mostly used to move our band equipment around. But, it also got alot of other discretionary usage...;)

And, my most "radical" looking Corvette was my First one. Which wasn't near as "Rad." as that 'Vette. But, it sure was fun!...:) (and, left hand drive!)

Speaking of nostalgic movies: I watched "Banzai Runner" (from Netflix) over the weekend. Terribly stupid movie from 87 where some nut car collector races his cars at night. But the lineup of the cars was fascinating:
928, 911, 308, Stingray, Camaro, Miura, Elise to name a few. All the stuff I had on my walls in my dorm.

This pic reminds me of a car Im going to guess was called a Wolfrace. It was a two engined black Vette beast and Im guessing had a Tyrell-like 6 wheel set up. I can picture you and your son cruising around in the machine laying waste to the new Z06 competition. Had an insane "combined" HP set up.
