Michael Andretti to acquire Force India?!?

There's blame all around in what happened to Michael in McLaren back in 93. He certainly didn't commit fully. It's been well documented that his wife at the time was a raging b!tch and a large part of the issue. Also McLaren were harsh on him and the press, especially the British press who are the most important to F1 in the English speaking world, were desperate for him to fail from the get go. The fact is though he retired from seven of his 13 F1 races and did score a 3rd place podium in his final race. Hakkinen didn't trounce him when he replaced him, he also had two retirements and a best of 3rd.

But all that is ancient history. He's now been married apparantly happily to his third wife since 2006 and has proven that he is an excellent team owner, manager and businessman. I can honestly see him buying Jordan ne-Midland ne-Spyker ne-Force India and keeping it as a top of the mid field team.

 

With an American owner, and a desire to have more races in the US, I can't believe that F1 wouldn't push to have a "real" American team in the series.

 

Liberty made a mistake: they should have bought NASCAR instead of F1.

 

I actually think both series are potentially in trouble, but no disagreement. I'm not sure how they monetize and grow.

This forum is FULL of baseless proclamations...they’re called opinions. Please realize that we each have one and they don’t always shoehorn with yours.

 

This is the trouble with some people, not only they cannot differentiate between a statement and a light-hearted comment, but they also think they speak for the majority because it happens that everybody they meet agrees with them to quickly close the conversation. That illusion empowers them and if you happen to defend your opinion, then they turn to personal attack to undermine your argument. Better ignore...

 

That's nice, I am also a fan of educated discourse. My opinion is that his post was a baseless proclamation pulled from you know where. Try not to be such a fragile little snowflake if someone disagrees with you. Or you could always be like william and take your ball and go home...

Force India is a very good team, and I would be sorry to see ending up in the wrong hands and then go down.

They have accomplished much with a limited budget and put Williams to shame (sharing the same engines).
