I think your sarcasm meter needs a new battery. I know North Korea is not a democracy. But Stalins Russia a had the most liberal constitution in the world in that period. Saddam Hussein was also "democratically" elected. What is said and what is done is very different.

As for public rape, there was a recent case in Pakistan, where a woman was publically raped for alleged transgressions of her relative.
